i tested the speed of my stampede vxl with a 5000mah 11.1 V lipo 30c, and i just reached 76.3kmh with 25/30 gearing...i was driving on a 1km long straight road...so...what's the problem??
Probably stock. I have one and they take a lot of abuse! Also the VXL on a 3 cell lipo is VERY fast and throws wheelies at 50mph with the right battery!
oh, the stampede, and slash take an enormous amount of abuse. I cant kill eather of my trucks., although my maxx has been eating through rear shocktowers, lol because its landing on its lid half the time, but it has rpm now.
you need to learn flight control if your ass end is low hit the break to level the truck out and land on all 4 tires if the front is low hit the gas get
shocks held up good,,there not the factory shocks,there the optional ones the factory ones keep flying apart on me so i had to upgrade,,other than that it's all factory.

im looking to get a stampede vxl for christmas and then its going to suck saving up for the lipo that thing is like $300 dollers but im glad im young enough to get the stampede for christmas.......i hope
RC Demon batteries are the best NIMH batteries out there. They actually ripped a tire off the rustler. My point is, they're just as good as Lipos, maybe a little slower, but not by much. They're $80 for 9-cell batteries. I suggest that you check it out.

shocks held up good,,there not the factory shocks,there the optional ones the factory ones keep flying apart on me so i had to upgrade,,other than that it's all factory.
