People also need to realize that while the U.s. has a high level of equality, other countries are far behind. In Saudi Arabia, women still don't have the right to drive and can't participate in society. Women - and men - continue to be trafficked on a daily basis into forced labor and sexual exploitation around the world.

@Immakingadifference2 actually you are probably right. in terms of evolutionary psychology which will soon replace the ignorant gender studies classes and isnt gender centric in any way, it shows that men do cater to womens desires in order to (subconsciously) meet the males desires to have women as potential partners and is still the case today. feminism only gave way because men simply have an instinct to protect women and keep them satisfied. an instinct that may soon be suppressed in some

I'm all for women's rights and all that. I understand that, apparently, there are travesties commited against women all over the globe. I do think that this should be taken seriously. But I like to laugh. And whenever there's a discussion about women's rights I can't help but make jokes. Even as I type this I am struggling not to make fun. Not because I think of these issues as a joke. But the jokes just come so easily. So I just won't say anything.
