All time fav - Why do I feel so Sad. Serioooous...so much emotion in that song..played it constant for months...was 15 when it came out and reminds me of difficult shi* at the time..having to move out my fam home and stuff. Could relate to some of the song, realisation that you can't hide your true feelings, u know all the soppy cliche type lessons as you grow up. I read somewhere she wrote that song when she was 16?...shows what a passionate talented emosh person she was from even that age.
I remember i was here at home in lesotho(Africa) i turned on the music station, and i saw her walk of that bus in the fallin' video. i was in love. she was(and is) so beautiful. i thought she was a model, then i find out shes a singer, then i find out she p lays as well. i was jst learning to play that summer when i was 15, a while after that i bought the 'songs in a minor' sheet music and since then have bought all her music AND sheet music and learnt to play jst about almost all her songs

Alicia Keys, one of the most outstanding female artist of all time. Fell in love with her music since her first single Falling! Would be hard to pick my favourite song. She is an all rounded artist and let's not forget a philanthropist! What a blessing to the world Alicia is. My daughter sings and plays music and I pray to God she is one day as amazing as Alicia Keys. Much love and respect to the honourable Alicia Keys!
I was 4 when Songs in A minor was released i can remember I would sing all of the words over and over. Today is my 14th birthday and in the last few years I have come to understand and appreciate the words you are my inspiration. I have posted a video called Alicia I hope you like it. Alice Hello how are you? Why not spare my friend request? I forgive you because I could never be angry with a beautiful woman who you are ...... You look beautiful in this video, like all the rest, and your voice is unique and ....... I love you! !!!!!!!
my favorite from Songs in A Minor is Fallin !! I remember in college me and my roomie and another friend used to sing the 3 part harmony (at the bridge) ALL THE TIME. My all time favorite is Stolen Moments !! I was at the MTV Unplugged session when you recorded it and it was a memory I'll never forget !! Happy 10 years Alicia! Here's to 100 more !
IF I AINT GOT YOU.. that is damn good song.. i remember i saw the clip and i was after really bad break up.. i heard and i felt crushed inside..
and "SUPERWOMEN".. well is defenetly amayzind song.. i come from kind of a chauvinist family.. and i belive women can do it all... study.. work and kids..
Thanks so much Alicia. I haven't heard 'Girlfriend' in so long. I'd have to say my favorite, if I had to pick, would be a tie between 'Butterflyz' and 'Caged Bird'. Technically when Songs in A minor came out, I was 4... But I am pretty sure I got it around when I was 7. I'd listen to your music all the time, Butterflyz was just something so pretty and it always made me feel all warm and fuzzy, Caged Bird, I'd always imagine a NYC street w/ a bird, and you'd let it go, and it would fly away. <33
Fallin would be my favorite song because i was in a relationship for almost 7yrs we would break up and make up non stop He was my first love and it is so hard to forget that one person. Sometimes I LOVED HIM sometimes he made me blue
I was 13th when I heard this song for a first time I had a shivers, many years have passed and I still got shivers when I hear it. From that moment you are my favourite artist and this will never change!!!
od wielu wielu lat Fallin jest dzwonkiem na mojej komórce i chyba nie znajdę już lepszego :)
So I've got the CD and have played it entirety from beginning to end many times. Too hard to pick just one! Guess if it came down to two ... Fallin and How Come You Don't Call ...
What a beautiful eyes Ms.Keys...you can hypnotize a man with those eyes ;) And don't let me even get started with the voice! bada bing bada booooom!!!
I love all your songs. The funny thing was I was listening to The 'Diary of Alicia Keys Album' when I met my husband. Then when we were on our honeymoon we brought your then new album 'As I am' and we listened to it the whole time. So all those songs bring back wonderful memories.
my biggest memory is popping in Songs in A Minor into my cd player and listening to it over and over before going to bed; Just laying there, and soaking up all the music.
ok i love the whole cd but jane doe just changed my whole attitude that day, i had been at the childrens hospital in stanford while my grandaughter had surgery, i ended up having to drive home so my daughter lent me a cd, which of course was alicia keys. i had gone from a thousand thoughts in my head to a complete mind change almost like a sedative for me, i remember driving on down the coast as the sun was setting listening to jane doe and all of a sudden i could not wipe the smile off my face.
I remember the 1st time I heard "That's How Strong My Love Is", it was playing on the radio and I genuinely related to the song because the lyrics of the song just reflected the relationship me and my ex had back then and since then it has been 1 of my all time AK favourite songs. Words cannot express the love I personally have for Alicia Keys....a very talented and loving individual. It would be a dream come true if I were to see her perform live!!! LOVE U SO MUCH AK ♥
/watch?v=Nc30IRaSQWI, love this version of "Troubles". "Fallin" really made me realize what a great singer Alicia was and is but "Troubles" sort of locked it all in for me. This song also made me realize what a beautiful person she also was and is.
It was the summer of 2004,I was on my computer searching for a good song, and I came across butterflies,at that time I had just met the love of my life and we're still together,I pray for you continued success in all that you do and best wishes for you and your new born.
I couldn't sleep one night and Oprah used to come on at like 2 or 3 in the morning (here in LA). That particular episode was about 4 up and coming female musicians. Yolanda Adams was the only name I recognized. But when you came out and started singing "Fallin'", I was in tears! I have loved you ever since and even slipped you a letter at a taping of "On Air with Ryan Seacrest"!!! It's been fantastic watching you grow and your music mature over the last 10 years. Continued success to you!!
My sister and I were sitting in the living room watching MTV. All of a sudden I hear this beautiful voice! We both watched it all the way through without speaking. Once it was over we were both like, Oh my god! She is sooo good! We are both huge fans of your music and think you are a strong, beautiful woman (not to mention a hell of a musician and songwriter)!
My favourite songs : "A woman's worth" because this song learn the boys how to treat a woman.Really I felt that when we are young we learn how to treat the people. This song spoke about how important we are as women, and how much we deserve to be treated specially..the second is "Fallin".That song helped me to realize that the thing i want to do when i'll grow up is singing. How powerful and how you controled the piano made me want be like u.With your help i realized music is my life.Thx Alicia
i was watching mtv and first stopped because i thought you looked so pretty and then fallin mesmerized me ;) i was 13 when i got your album, i am now 22, every time i listen to siam it makes me feel the same. it makes me feel so strong and understood, i cant explain it, it just makes me feel good, it's like coming home. in the last 10 years i've listened to so much music, been introduced to so many artists and albums, so much happened, but nothing else makes me feel like siam does....
Your music has been a huge inspiration on my life and i honestly cannot choose from the wide variety of your music to find the best whenever i listen to your music it automatically makes me smile because i see myself to grow into such a huge singer just like you! i hope my words have touched my heart god bless you Alicia keys you are a superwoman ;)
The first time I heard Fallin' was when the video debuted on MTV. I was hurting over my first love and the video started to play this melancholic smooth sound and before you even sang the lyrics, I felt like you felt my pain and was about to sing it to me. You began to sing, and I cried. Cried so hard because I realized I'm not the only one that endures that pain from being in love, and not the only fool going back and forth with it. From then on, I was hooked.
my very favorite has to be "Lovin' U". i love all of your songs the same, but the ones that stand out the most are: "Lovin' U", "Troubles", "Nobody, Not Really", "Dah Dee Dah (Sexy Thing)", "I Need You", "Lesson Learned", "Prelude to a Kiss", "Saviour", "Tell You Something", "Never Felt This Way", "The Life", "Slow Down", "Stolen Moments", and of course "Speechless".. wow that's a lot.. but i love all of your music!!
My favorite songs : "Superwoman" because all WOMEN are beautiful, intelligent, and smart! Thewhether you song helped me to realize that no matter whats going on in your life have a happy family or sometimes a sad family and someone is going through something all you have to do is keep your head up.
Second one is "You dont know my name" that song is my favorite! i keep it on repeat no lie. lol i really like this boy and when i always get around him im shy and stuff. i love you! ♥♥♥
I was there in the studio when you recorded fallin. The rest I heard off my moms album (because my dad produced music for you), oh and...it's little Kumasi!
The first time I saw you on video singing Fallin' I thought this is my homegirl. It was right after my divorce. You were so soulful it was like you could feel what was in my heart. Like you could relate. I checked your background and saw you were part Italian. You grew up in the Kitchen and I grew up in Bensonhurst,..two solid New York neighborhoods to be from. Nice seeing you on Facebook...
I was by my cousin & I walked passed the TV. & falling was on...as I glanced I was like who is that white girl with the braids lol!!! Been in love with her music ever since!!
Four songs in your discography had a major therapeutic impact on my life. It was "Woman's Worth" that helped me stay focused as I sought to heal from almost 23 years of domestic abuse. It was "Superwoman" that helped empowered me as I embarked on a new life of independence. It was "Wait til You See My Smile" that helped knock out the fear within. I listened to it EVERY morning as I found myself living a new PLATINUM life!!
They make me feel kinda like... There's someone in the world who God made with 52 special ingredients and then used the most talented angels to sing about him.
I was in the kitchen, cooking dinner. My youngest son (16 at the time) did the "OJ Simpson leap" over the couch, yelling "Mom, come see your future daughter in law". First, I lectured the son on how he was waaaaay too young for you. Then, as a closet pianist, I was mesmerized by the way you were able to merge classical music undertones with hip-hop. I've been a fan since.
"Goodbye", "Woman's Worth" and "Butterfly" are my favorite from SIAM... It reminds me of my adolescence. I saw you when you perfomed in Paris for the 10th anniversary, and I was definitely crying when you sang those songs. It was MAGIC... Alicia, you're amazing.
I heard Rock Wit U off the Shaft soundtrack for the first time in 2000, fell in love! Also seen you open a year later for Maxwell at the Beacon Theater when Songs in A Minor became #1. It was just you a keyboard and a small band I knew I would eventually see you headlining at MSG. Chance finally came in 2008 and I can't believe how fast time flies. Thanks for your music it's truly wonderful and moving!
It was easier to take you serious before you became a home wrecker. I used to love your music now I will never buy another one of your CD's or songs again.
LOVE YOU ALICIA...!!!! I LOVE ALL YOUR MUSIC......!!! BUT I THINK MY FAVORITE ONES ARE: NO ONE AND MY BOO...........THIS SONGS GET INTO MY HEART..........
WHEN I FIRST LISTEN MY BOO I WAS SEARCHING LOMETHING AT RADIO.....AND I LOVE IT FROM THE BEGINING, THEN I CAN STOP SINGING IT AND LISTENING IT..........AND WITH NO ONE I WAS AT SENIOR YEAR...AND HAVE BROKE UP WITH MY BOYFRIEND...IT WAS SO DRAMATIC....BUT I LOVED THAT SONG....!!!!!
I was a freshman at Kent State University. I probably heard it for the first time seated at my desk in my dorm. I remember feeling ecstatic that such a talented new woman was on the radio.
I definetely love this women !!!!!!! damn I love you <3

Butterflyz and Womans Worth were my absolute favorites on SIAM, they still touch me the same today as they did yesterday.

Wow..Alicia Keys is recently one of my Favourite artists ever!
For my piano exam you can do a contemporary song and one of them was
If I Aint Got You. I had heard of Alicia before but was never really into her music
So i decided to listen to it.
I instantly fell in love and downloaded a lot of her songs and eventually bought the piano/vocal/guitar book for The Element of Freedom
Thank you so Much Alicia Keys for inspiring me to play the piano especially many of your beautiful songs!
Love You!

I was a freshman at Kent State University. I probably heard it for the first time seated at my desk in my dorm. I remember feeling ecstatic that such a talented new woman was on the radio.
