@d2majzoub I actually didn't use tab, it's just such a mainstay here in the Appalachians that I've heard it so much, I just figured this out and played by ear.
You played that very well. I love your version of this song. Did you use tabs to learn it? If so, were can I find 'em? Thanks for posting and thumbs up to you.
That is a Gold Tone CB-100. I have since sold it and I now have a Ramsey Amish that I really like also. But, I can say, the CB-100 is a great banjo for the money, I would highly recommend it.
yes indeed--very nice playing, I've learned this tune myself, and like the way, like a previous poster noted, that you play with confidence and let the melody stand out from the lesser rhythm type notes. When i play it the notes are correct and I can do it pretty fast but I'm having trouble putting he accent on melody notes and putting less force into the frailing strum type notes--if you know what I mean--anyway well played sir
You are putting plenty of "drive" into it, nice job, I'm learning clawhammer myself and can appreciate that this is quite an achievement if you have only been playing 1 year.
Are you using standard G tuning?
