his friend(most likely hospitalized) is fine cause they return to school towards the end. They definitely returned to school after the beat up because: one-the teacher was already there with a worried expression and two-the fact that the class cheered( in the old days, classmates were like brethren) shows they have returned after their expulsion.

Crime and Punishment, they met the girl in the restaurant or whatever and tried to hit on her but she refused them. The following day they found out she was the Art teacher. They both fell in love with her and A(the one that got his ass beat) was the bad kid in school while B(the one that turned into a gangster after he left school) was good in school. So the teacher lost her watch because she had to give it to the guy to let A go. A and B went to the other school together to get it back

Oh yah, they fought cuz, you can prolly see, a classmate got his shoes jacked so they jacked it back. Back on track.. So after they went to get the watch back, they got expelled. A, who was formerly a trouble maker in school turned out to be a decent young man and found a modest job. B on the other hand had problems with the gangsters and he agreed to join them to avoid harassment. In the end, A basically tries to free B from his gang activities by kicking everyones ass. haha
