watch out for seller (wowzzers) on amazon and ebay. sells and makes fakes. i bought patch cards and graded cards and new boxes. all fake. and the sad thing is he has over 5000 positive feedback on both sites.

Great info, but are the autographs authentic? I gave up on GU relics because the market is so flooded. After hearing how a certain card company issued a fake babe ruth auto and passed it off genuine that sold on ebay for $85,000 my concerns have risen and kind of stopped me from collecting.

in most cases paypal and ebay wont do a damn thing. i learned the hard way losing 400$. paypal and ebay messaged me back saying they wouldnt pursue unless i got a federal prosecuters signature and approval. 400$ gone bye.

I called upper deck about this when it was on EBAY!!!! I Reprted it to ebay and they did NOTHING even though Upper Deck confirmed it to be fake! The seller was a scammer and he made a fake sale on ebay to himself on another account to record it previously sold! this is the 2008 Exquisite Chris Johnson Patch!!! 163/199 was a 2 color!!! YES!!! GOD BLESS YOU I KNEW I WAS RIGHT!!!

thank you very much... i stop collecting a few years ago because i felt the market was getting so flooded with product after product and gu this and gu that. i just started back up but only for pc cards. this video helps alot. im only doing low end stuff since im only collecting for pc. is it more so the high end stuff that gets tampered with? and it does suck for the hobby that people is doing this...

I believe that more high cards are being tampered with because the crooks that tamper with these cards plan on selling the cards for a large premium. However, that doesnt mean that there are no low end fakes on the market. The best advice to a collector would be to study your product, know your fav teams jerseys and dont be afraid to call and ask the card manufacturing company.

Furthermore, I used to complain about how flooded the hobby is with gu product. but it works out well for the young collectors and collectors on a budget. You can get an MJ jersey card for $40 and ten years ago when you knew every set by heart an MJ Jersey card would have been $1500. The hobby is forever evolving and so are we as collectors.
