LOLz yeah. Army is seriously freaked by the Terminator movies. US Army policy is that no combat systems are allowed to be fully automated. There will always be a soldier controlling any UAV or UGV. You can set the CROWS to automatically sector scan but it will never fire until you touch the controls.

Its too easy for potential enemys to knock the FCS offline. Doesnt it depend on a network connecting everything together ? China shot down one of its own satellites easily. It could easily shoot down GPS satellites and make the FCS network go into chaos. Also I can bet the russians are working on some weapon that can cause problems for the FCS network, some kind of electronic weapon. It can sell this to potential enemys. Its all show.

i doubt it would send it into chaos... more accurately it would probably make the system go dark for a period in the neighborhood of 90 minutes until another satellite came into range.that is, if it had much of an effect at all. there are more of those things up there than you might realize. also, if china shot it down with a missile, patriot systems could severely hamper their ability to freely destroy satellites.

yah the US can shoot down China's satelites too and not just one but in a day we could shoot down over ten not with missiles but by the year 2014 will have a jet armed with a lazer that can go into space and either run into the satellite or shoot it with the lazer and China doesn't have that kind of technologyand it can't shoot it down cause this jet will be going 18 times the speed of sound so a missil could never hit it
