  • LEGO should have made a telescope in 1989, when they began making pirates. I used a goblet as telescope, before they finaly made one in 2009.

  • *prooved

  • Even in the older sets it hinted that blue was French just like real life. You can tell because their flag had fleur de leis on them

And the red is British because of their famous "redcoats"

Great video! I like how the British win in their second shot, proofed how much better the navy is compared to a bunch of pirates

  • hay capten come and look.

  • ITS THE BRIDISH!!!!!!

  • first ever lego video on youtube?

  • you copyed the other video and the other one was better

  • @legoclonetrooper427 I'm not sure which video you're referring to, but Pirates! was made back in 2005 (check the upload date) and was not influenced by any other stop motion lego shorts at the time. Thanks for the feedback!

  • One hit wouldn't sink a ship like this...

  • cool minifigs

  • I like this move

  • i like it! the british won

  • This was great. And finally a LEGO movie without crappy voice acting.

  • the british did'nt had blue uniforms, but red. I'm sure the french did had blue ones!

  • @rummidummi1

I'm pretty sure in the older Lego pirate sets, the British had blue uniforms.

  • @rummidummi1 The blue figures are more common to find when buying older pirate sets, they came out first as the imperial soldiers, in 1992 red uniforms came out and they were the imperial guards, lego never called them british or french. red uniforms are way more harder to find

  • @Deathsquad49 I meant the real history, not the Lego's titles.

  • that was brilliant you should make a 30 minute movie

  • are those sets good sets?

  • yeah they are great, they were the first series, well worth picking up on ebay or anywhere u can find them.

  • Awesome video! Pirates are my favourite lego theme...

  • i like it but y did the brithish win

  • Ha ha! I love it! stupid monkey indeed!

  • New Lego Pirates sets currently at Toys R Us across the USA!

I loved this movie! The only thing I didn't like was the telescope...but luckily the new sets include an actual lego one you can use in the future!

  • this is good

  • Why did you use french as the british?

  • hello! lego didnt have red coats at the time so this person made do with what he had

  • why does it matter??

  • HAHA good old memories

  • lol

  • looks like he gt a giant splif

  • good effects but the storyline is too simple and short.

  • could you please tell me what material did u use for the water effect? very good vid though!

  • Does this happen to be the jeremy fisher from darwell alberta???

  • Where's the great song???

  • Hahahah, great, fav'd

  • is it from the Pirates of the Caribbean?? (I thought so because of the music and the un-dead monkey):P

  • where i find this lego?

  • well... here my finland... it's last time in markets in year 1998 :D :D I was 3 years old then

    It's great! Really!

  • We appreciate your comment, and we like most of the stuff in the film. However, in all honesty your framerate is a little jumpy!

We have number 2 done, and number 3 isnt far behind:P.

Also, look out for "Jimmy's Tale".

  • i love this video. could you submit it as a pod cast on i tunes. please respond.

  • how do u make the videoes please reply!

  • What is the title of the song starting at 1:21 ?

  • it's from the pirates of the caribbean movie i think.

  • well done

  • very well done. mind if I borrow the water and smoke idea?

  • This is A Grade stuff.

Great Music, Editing, Voice Acting and Story.

    That was pure perfection!

  • great really nice

the effects are cool really cool

    well done :D

  • I love the original lego pirates, and imperial guards (they remade them a few years back but it was with the Spanish guards), actually the blue lego imperial guards were supposed to be the French, then the Red Imperial guards came out as the "british".

  • Avast!

    Very well done!

    Redbeard should have won though

  • Great movie. Victory for Fort Legorado! Blasted that sea scum right out the water.

  • animation was ok, but the water effects and the editing were both excellent

  • amazing hahahaha

  • Love the waves, the smoke, the destruction of the ship, all very well done.
