@DaleRobby Extras is a great show, very funny, moving and original. Gervais has been behind a lot of my favourite entertainment shows of the past 10 years. From the podcasts, to the sitcoms, HBO specials, stand up shows, Karls shows, I personally haven't seen any of the movies he's involved in, so no comment there. That's why he's still around, because he's still putting out great entertainment and consistently so. If you feel differently you're entitled to that opinion. Millions agree with me.

@DaleRobby cause he exec produces office (runs in 17 countries different versions) and that genre of subtle comedy has literally been invented by him a lot of shows use it today...theres parks and rec, thereve been various characters in shows that have been based off of that idea of humor. plus hes done extras, the ricky gervais show both chart toppers, hes doing life is too short now and all his comedy "specials" check em out are a mark of the comedic genius he is.

@MrAtaguas He has NOTHING to do with the other Office shows, he admits this. He did not invent that style of humor, no one can claim to inventing any style of humor, and it is fucking annoying in all shows except the office. Extras was average trumped up by people who want to think he is funnier than he is. And his "specials" are a couple hours of work and NOT FUNNY at that. He had one fucking hit. Thank God he seems to be going away.

If you haven't seen his standups 'Politics' and 'Animals', they are the other great things he did.

Ricky and him did a little short documentary devoted completely to his ignorance, where he went around speaking to "intelligent" people trying to see what he could learn. He admits that hes ignorant and hes perfectly content with it. Ricky says "he has a good brain", but he lives in his own world. Hes not dumb, just ignorant.
