  • I suppose any shot to a new look & scheme may be worth a try but I'll still always have the hots for the 1st Batwoman Kathy Kane of whom I've always had the hots for since I 1st found out of her during Christmastime of 1977 when I was 14 years old & always appreciated her for being the most liberated superheroine while Wonder Woman was from a background of anti-male & there's a difference between equal rights & against the other sex, one's more extreme than the other as my Mother even agrees.

  • I love the irony. She was originally created to prove that Batman was straight.

Batwoman and the original Batgirl were really convienient love interests for the two.

  • It does'nt matter if the hero is straight or gay, as long as they can do their job.(by the way, there are a number of gay superheroes already out there)

  • @olnightstar69 Exactly! In another universe that actually had a comic book series, there was even a gay Superman and Batman!! And they were married!!! (I think they were, I know they were at least boyfriends...) Anyhoo, I'm fine with it.

  • @TheZacula They are married. That doesn't make them any less cool. The fans who are freaked out need to grow up. All sexuality is real. There are Gay Athletes, Actors, Service Men, Fire Fighters, Doctors, etc... even our relatives. I read the Batwoman run on Detective Comics, and they were very respectful, while telling an intriguing story.

  • how bout superheroes be bi and superheroines too.

  • no cause guy on guy looks gross

  • It's a matter of taste I suppose ;P

  • yeah it tastes like orange juice toothpastee and morning breath

  • yep

  • No offense but i dont like the idea of a superhero being lesbian or gay, thats just me. Of course no offense to the others but thats my opinion

  • why?

  • sorry the why was for omagared. why should they all be straight? just wondering

  • haha, oh yes... batman and robin... Let's see, an old dude who lives in a fabulous mansion by himself with a british butler and has a little boy run around in tights with him and slide down those big poles into the batcave (which is probably actually an S&M dungeon). 0_o

  • that was mostly in the adam wst show though.

  • read batman: dark victory. it does a good job in explaining robin's purpose in the batman mythos. as time changes, so do characters. the robin character has changed, but people still have that old 60's robin in their heads.

with the batman begins and dark knight, batman has regained his dignity, but robin has a long way to go. even the fans deny robin.

  • hmm i think spiderman revealing himself is more shocking

  • Cool she's coming back. Sad that she's hot though since she's a woman lovin' lady. I'm kidding I respect lesbian womem. There aren't any gay guys in DC comics though hmm... makes ya think?

  • well there are others(like Ragdoll 3) ...i know marvel has a couple like northstar.

  • Yeah, there's been criticism that it's "ok" for a lead character being a lesbian, but not any male ones, and certainly not money making Batman!

We don't want to offend those sponsors or parents or insecure fanboys!

Still, Kathy/Kate Kane coming back is very cool...
