The friendly gentleman in the video more or less ignored the philosophical problem that lies at the heart of Christianity: God is completely good. Before he created the universe, he was the only thing that existed; therefore, there was only goodness. The universe contains evil. How can a completely good being create evil? Free will is not a satisfying answer at all because God must have known that it would create evil and as the creation of free will equals the creation of evil = impossible.
I highly doubt the position that only theology provides a basis for morality - or any basis for morality at all - is tenable. Not only is it impossible IMO to give a meaningful, non-dogmatic answer to the question "How could the act of willing create a moral good?" (for a Christian, God's willing an act is what makes this act morally good), but there's also the problem of arbitrariness described in the Euthyphro-dilemma. Religions centered around gods cannot be a rational basis for morality.
Of course he doesn't percieve reality as we do; he created it.
God gave gave us the free will to choose to follow him or to disown him. What would it mean if he hadn't? If you forced someone at gunpoint to say they love you would it be the same as someone telling you they love you because they do?
God created us in his image. He created us for him, and his love for you and I is greater than you or I could ever imagine or love ourselves. Our worship literally blesses him.
You Seriously think a PERFECT God would create a Universe where something could exist which would offend him or that he wouldn't be able to have around him.
This assumes the Universe is based on Division when really the Universe is based on Entanglement. On the Quantum level ALL matter is one! The very notion of seperation in any sense is IMPOSSIBLE!
The idea of what is Good or Evil is rooted in sociology..
The perceptions of good & evil have changed as we have!
@MrGoodNKinky A PERFECT God chose to create a world in which men would worship him out of their own free will...he chose the meaningful worship of the few over the robotic worship of the masses.
1. To a ALL knowing being there is Nothing we could do. No choice we could make, that it wouldn't have known we would!
2. IF a God would be real it wouldn't be limited to our 5 senses so it would not percieve reality as we do!
3. IF a God would exist wanting worship from us would be on par with one of us demanding worship from an inchworm. Or demanding Inchworms live up to our standards!
4. To set up a system where if you make One mistake you are deserve to be tortured forever means learning is impossible. Since we learn more from our mistakes then from our successes.
5. The Knowledge of Good & Evil doesn't give you a disposition towards either it only enables you to make a choice! Without the knowledge of Good & Evil it would be impossible for us to have freewill since we wouldn't have the knowledge to make a choice!
God has suffered hardship and lose in a fallen world.? God cannot die! Christ is God but He died only as a Man. He was always One in Spirit with Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, even dying on the Cross.God cannot be separated and still be God.The Father alone is not God that would make the trinity three Gods but there is only One God,Father Son Holy spirit.Christ died only as a Man though always God in spirit

Problems with this idea.
