4890 was released to go for gtx275.. i dont thik it can top gtx285.. not sure about it... still i like my hd4890 :) its cheap and it runs great. i'll save 250$ that i would have to give for gtx295.. and in 2 years buy a for that money ill buy bettergraphic card that gtx295 :)

for the games i play (cod 4 cod waw and crysis) i use maximum settings and 1024x768 resolution(my lcd display dont let me go more) and i get more than 40 fps- the radeon 4890 is a great card

Is this a joke? I have a single HIS Radeon 4850 IceQ4 Turbo and My FPS are way higher on Vantage. I hit about 27 FPS at that particular point. Total score of the card is around 29000. kinda makes me wonder why i would consider upgrading. Alot of these reviews make this card out to be not so great compared to my current setup... Nice video though. Ill give ya the stars.

I don't know if I misunderstood you now but did you just say that you scored 29000 on GPU Score with a single HD4850? I don't even think a Quad SLi of overclocked GTX 295's can do that.

well i was planning on getting gtx 260 sli, but this card seems really good, should i go instead for a p45 and one of these or keep my 680i and go for the sli setup (gtx 260sli)

to yorchais.......i would say keep your 680i and go with the sli setup but the 4890 is a good card. if you like ati and you want to upgrade to ati dont waste your money on a p45 board just upgrade to core i7 so you can use either sli or crossfire in the future hope that helped

oh and one more thing if your going with ati you will have to buy a physx card if you want physx because ati doesnt support physx only nvidia has physx on their cards...
