For the most part, I agree with him, and that people should just be more productive and constructive with their own lives and time and, leave no time, thought, or space for trivial things such as racism.

I do agree with him, that if you have more people of other racial, cultural groups, your experiences are greatly increased, then without it. Your mind becomes more open, instead of closed, and you become more aware of what's out there, which is usually, if not always, better.

I think the problem with trying to get along is that in a competitive society this is hard to do, because people are trying to get better than others and when they see others not as good, they may either make fun of them, laugh at them, critize them or just ignore them, and also vice versa when you see someone better off than you, you might be envious of what they have and want what someone else has, and if you can't get it, then you may begin to hate or be jealous of them.

The problem with this type of thinking though is that it is kind of vulnerable, because it is assuming other people are going to be equally nice to you. One or several bad experience with someone of a different ethnicity/culture may cause him to change his views.
