Eh....a Beach Boys cover deliberately minus the punch of the original melody OR harmonies. That would be like playing something by Miles Davis without any exploration of musical modes.
Interesting concept, but good music is more than just a concept.

This is a good cover, good for the girls. Kind of a punk version but with good atmosphere. This will also help introduce the original to new generations.

Cool song - I never knew this was a Beach Boys song! It's actually off the Summer Day's (and Summer Nights!!) album. Love the Smithereens cover of this. These Vivian Girls Rock!

The Smithereens take is cool. You should check out the version by "Fuzzy" -- female vocals and a great post-grunge rock feel
