How do you mean it sounds "gay"? Gay is the last thing that comes to mind when I'm hear great musicians like Thom Yorke, or Jonsi, or Jim James, or Frank Black tap into their falsetto. Beautiful music has no sexual orientation. I swear, insecure straight males are so concerned with sexual alignment that they miss out on so many wonderful things. But I suppose I'm "gay" now that I've expressed myself with words like "beautiful" and "wonderful".

I think that this version is better than the full band version on the album. It fits the spirit of the song better. So I think Jonny was right. Some songs just don't need a full band arrangement.
