these phones are WEAK ... i have an n958gb and an n97 and i had the n95 8gb for 3 yrs and whilst ive had it i have dropped it lots of times on carpet, wood flooring and even CONCTRETE!! i even dropped it in the BATH once and it STILL works ... i had the n97 for a month and dropped it ONCE ... the screen SHATTERED ... its currently being sent off for repair ... DO NOT BUY if you are accident prone because the very first time you drop it you will be phoneless!! n95 8gb phones are tough VERY tough

I've had mine for over a year and don't have problem...except when it surf or send messages the screen shudders disturbingly...I'm too scared to use allot of the features or to install any new apps...it's doesn't seem to firm in the mind...it''s a little like a slightly senile old lady that might fly off the handle at any moment...so I don't make her do to much and she lets me use the phone...Good idea in theory...can't wait for my upgarde...April :o(

I dont agree with the criticism of this phone. I love mine. I have taken some great pix and vids (just make sure you check lens for fingerprints!) I also love the massive 32GB storage - it also has an SDHC slot but god knows why its superfluous !

I play it through my car/van radio and which is great. Make sure you get all the latest firmware updates (needs PC/Lappy/Internet connection) and also DONT use the sliding lens cover unless you want the lens scratched to buggery!

Nokia N97 internal memory is really really low and when u update your software, all the software will be installed in your internal memory. Now i dont even have enough memory to update my software... This is just sad.

Camera sucks too. the hardware specs look impressive but the experience is like comparing a tricycle to a bicycle (the bicycle being just about any of the other high end phones on the market today). Nokia sucks 4 real. Don't. There is no graphics acceleration & the internal memory on this phone is shit so its always crashing. Symbian is just shit. The internet is also painfully slow.

Now that i have the iphone 4, this one looks like one of first old Nokias. its not smooth, its not even good looking. the UI is horrible. GPS is cheap, barely worked. Nokia ur way too far now! i guess ur days of "#1" are over by far. either you think of a new revolutionary design and UI by spending atleast 1 of ur billions. or u jus gonna keep producing same old phones for old people. but then again my grandma has an iphone so...........

im looking for a VGA device with keyboard. wifi is obvious need, prefferrably wm 6.5, if not avaible on that phone then 6.1 and 5 both are okay, wm2003se is not okay and under that. high end device with at least 500 mhz and 64MB of ram. Right now im using FSC Pocket loox 720 and im pretty happy with it, but it is so limited because of it wm2003 os. D-Pad would alse be nice. oh and i really really dont like samsungs own shit on it, id just like the windows os :D

The only bad things about this phone as fare as I am concerned is that 1 it is slow ,2 the OVI store SUCKS MAJOR BALLZ compared to say... the iTunes store and 3 the touch screen kinda sucks but it works for simple things.

But the camera is very nice and I love the keyboard on the thing. I sitt on MSN all the time and its the perfect portabol msn device.

iPhone is wannabe PDA. N97 actually is one. And keyboard makes chatting, and writing documents really easy. Of course keyboard phones are much more older invention than N97, but the combination of cutting-edge technology, touch-screen and keyboard is pretty good. And I don't remember which N-phone got free worldwide GPS, but one of them had it. It was this or Nokia 5800. Well change the phones, I bet your brother would appreciate this phone.

Iphone does not have real qwerty key pad, NO built in Integrated GPS, Nokia has OVI supports and lifetime FREE walk and drive Navigation. 3gs has NO expansion memory card. As of APPS both have many to offer. So I prefer N97 as the BEST smartphone on the planet.
