  • Good thing he wasn't on crystal meth.

  • People look back fondly at this show as being innocent family fare- and for the most part is was, there was saccarine to spare. But there were moments during the series that was pretty intense and shocking even for today's viewers- like the time Ma's leg got infected, was home alone, and had to cut the gang-grene out with a kitchen knife; or when Alice was shown burning alive in the school with Mary's baby, or later in the same ep. when Mary wouldn't let go of the burnt baby corpse. Hardcore.

  • Albert could never get a break he had more misfortunes than one should have.

  • WARNING: Morphine addiction may cause you to have to suck on Alka Seltzer tablets and spit them out after they dissolve.

  • This episode really freaked me out as a kid.

  • poor albert i was in love with him while he was a kid

  • Charles Ingalss is the best father ever.

  • This is such bullshit. Morphine was totally legal then. Albert could have bought all he needed over the counter in any store...

  • This isn't a reaction to morphine addiction... It's a reaction to Obama being elected.

  • @JeremyHopper007 Bahahahahaaaaaaa! Too true!

  • I remember being like 7 years old and they used to play reruns on KTLA 5 in LA, and for some reason this episode has stuck with me like 23 years later.

  • Crafty little bugger, ain't he?

  • When I first Saw this it scared the living shit outta me.

  • jeez, so much for being a 'family' show. Seriously, would you show this to a four year old?

  • Though it was never officially said, I suspect that Albert got on drugs from residual guilt about accidentally killing Alice Garvey and Mary's baby son.

  • @bluenail03 I totally agree... I don't think he ever really got over that. He was never the same. & who would be?

  • Is Morphine the same thing as Oxycodone? My niece was hooked on Oxycodone and she had to go to a rehab. She is drug free now, she's been that way for two years now.

  • @Sheri451 Morphine and OC are very similar. OC is far more addictive, though. It's pretty much impossible to kick without help. OC may be the most addictive drug in the world,

  • @Sheri451 Morphine and Oxycodone are from the same source. They are both opiates, from the poppy.

  • What season is this?

You can tell they were running out of ideas by now.

  • @gymnasticslevel5sjc season 9 the episode is called home again. and yea your totally right. They were running out of ideas. They even brought those new kids on to try and remake the young nelly and Laura etc.

  • @Rolyat360OoOoOOut I know right? Also back in the 1800s no one adopted kids, unless they were rich! I only bought seasons 5 and up to laugh at the stupidity, hahaha =)

  • What.... What happened to him?

  • thats why you stick to pot, kids

  • my brother said that matthew labortueax is a bad actor well i'm about 2 prove him wrong by showing him this!

  • I've been through withdrawal from a 300mg daily Oxycodone (twice as potent as Morphine) and I can tell you this: you can NOT run like that! Your legs feel like concrete!

  • @Therealnoel true, but i would run.. ..for more, while im detoxing.... shit i would swim the english channel to feel better

  • @Therealnoel they do! i couldnt walk!

  • walk it off pussy

  • @REDTEAM22003 morphine withdrawal feels like every bone in your body is breaking. its the worst pain you can imagine. I was on injections of it for a few weeks and when i stopped taking it i would be fine for a while and then a day or two later i was screaming in bed like i was being tortured.

  • @starnostarstephanie I've smoked for 10years one day i woke up and said...i quit, that was ten years ago...

    ..its all in your head

  • @REDTEAM22003 cigarretes arent physically addictive, opiate withdrawal causes physical pain.

  • @starnostarstephanie does food count?

  • @REDTEAM22003

    late response, but: fuck yourself

you ever withdrawn from a serious opiate habit? no? then don't offer an opinion.

  • @REDTEAM22003 yeah

  • @REDTEAM22003 christ you are so ignorant. opiates =/ fucking CIGARETTES hahaha

  • @DougglesMagnificent just walk it off pussy

  • JRG1120 is right Albert was 1st seen in the city when Laura discovered him so he still had that city instinct in him until Charles took him in to learn morals

  • lol

  • lol he barfed on CHarles.

  • i was just gonna ask "why is he wear full clothes to bed?'' then bam!

  • When The Ingalls moved to the city Albert kind of reverted back to his old city ways.

  • that's so sad :(

  • i used to be so in love with albert as a child.

  • I don`t remember this? Huh... I`ve been through morphine withdrawal and yes, I don`t think I`d have been running like that lol Bloody terrible torture it was.... (Spinal injury)

  • Why bother quiting ur only gonna live 2 b 35 anyway its 1800s who gives a fuck and BTW u can run like that ive done running around the block intense excercise u will do whatever but i gave up tired of all the BS FUCK it what i mean by that is im on suboxone now ill take that 4 the rest of life if need b ive detoxed so many Xs cant do it if im weak so b it dont care anymore but my life is bettr.

  • no one in withdrawal can run like that!

  • I've seen every episode & tv movie of Little House and Laura never gets an abortion. Her baby boy does die soon after birth (looks like what would be called SIDS) today but she never had an abortion.

  • Weak?? Take it for a couple of years and then just stop taking it. You wont be saying weak then. You'll be screaming.

  • Haha pussy I've smoked 100 mcg/h Fentanyl patches (80 times more powerful than morphine) but I still think morph is a great drug.

  • They should have said that Albert got hooked on drugs to escape his continuing guilt over accidentally starting the fire at the blind school that killed Mary's child and Mrs. Garvey.

  • Could some please post the episode where Laura gets an abortion?

  • Laura gets an abortion??!

  • Yes. It was a "Very Special Episode" where Nels Oleson tells Laura Ingalls he has some peppermint taffy in his front pocket and.. well.. it all goes downhill from there.

  • omg what season was this?? i so dont remember that at alll!

  • this is probably one of the most graphic episodes I've ever seen on tv regardless of genre.

  • Yeah, this is probalby the most intense LHOTP ever filmed. I don't see this one on TV and the one about the girl raped (Sylvia). These episodes are intense and very depressing.

  • I watched this episode with my grandma. It was very awkward. We were both like, "Uh, hehe..."

  • ugh-i hated the part where he's in withdrawral from morphine!shudders-it always sends chills down my back-lolz :D

  • You really never see this video on TV, it's pretty intense and not the typical LHOTP episide people expect.

  • I love this episode. It's so sad to see Albert like this ! He's very good actor !!
