Dear person who dislikes this video, I'm sorry Star Clippers doesn't issue a hoveround and big-gulp upon boarding the ship. And I think most of us would agree that a 20 minute walk or short drive should be a requirement to see the ocean while on a cruise liner. Also, nobody should be able to hear the waves over the lounge shows and engines, nor feel or experience the ocean in any way while upon it. Thanks for letting us know how you feel. Sincerely, everybody else
Sailed on the Star Clipper through the greek isles last week. It was an amazing experience, made so in part by Peter Kissner, the cruise director. I'll recommend this without any reservations.
The rates are actually pretty competitive considering what kind of experience (once-in-a-lifetime) you would enjoy. This is something I'd love to do someday.
These ships look fantastic but are the passengers mostly belonging to the older crowd? I'm 32 and I don't know if I'd have much fun surrounded by older people. Not that there's anything wrong with them but it's good to have people within your generation to socialize with as well.
@Strideo1 I have heard that yes these draw a younger crowd as opposed to the older set that is drawn to the cruise liners. However they tend to be couples. That is what I hear.
Had a wonderful Star Clipper Sailing on the Str Flyer thru Tahiti. We had a WONDERFUL experience and are still in touch with friends we've meet on our trip. I HIGHLY reccomend it to anyone who loves a unique experience!!!!
Great but don't forget the American clipper "Nightingale" and the legendry swedish opera singer "JENNY LIND" even "starships" can happen, in a story spanning three centuries, with real princesses,
Worked for several months as cruise director onboard both the Star Clipper & Flyer.. (mid '90s). Great ships..great experience - highly recommended! Had the pleasure of serving with one of the best Captains on the high seas - the late Captain Uli.
Can't wait to save up for these one day, won't be as big as this though haha

LOL Jeesus! Sitting sunning yourself on a tall ship.
Thats nice, it can be enjoyable!
Try running to the spinnaker, and winding the main stay in 20ft swells, its just a posh cruise! not a proper sailing experiance!!

@Iliketoburststuff sorry but a spinaker is something from a yaught not from a tallship

I'm planning on booking Star Flyer next year, and I've read many reviews and the ship is rated 4.0 stars!
