Ugh.. Guys, i wouldn't buy this laptop. I (had) it for a year and then the motherboard died out. Overall the build quality isn't amazing, it smudges soo easily (which pissed me off) , the sound drivers would auto update to render them useless, battery life was mediocre, its a hassle to move about, you have to lug around the power chord with it (which is also giant). But i did enjoy it to an extent, display is good, mine could run games on high with like 50fps.. But it broke, ordered an Alienware

The A505 looks just like that, but with silver lining instead of red. And it says "Toshiba" on the back instead of "Qosmio". Ironically, the A505 is terrible with gaming.

So I've got a Qosmio and am starting to get really annoyed by the beeps that it makes when you hit the touch sensor volume control on the left side of the keyboard. I've played around in control panel and still have yet to find out how to turn it off. Is there a way?

I have the Qosmio x505-q870 older model and i can run every game ive tried on it max settings. Including Crysis. Its a beast of a machine. Since this one is newer i don't even know what to say about it haha. Best computer ive owned.

Usin a Satellite A505 now, and I REALLY wish they hadn't changed the position of the touch-sensitive controls to the left side of the keyboard -_-

They were PERFECT at the top inbetween the speakers.

Now when I'm typing I'll prolly be randomly starting and stopping music and muting the sound.

One thing i dont like about this laptop is the glare of the screen.

It can get tiring in time. TruBrite display can also be "too bright" for movies or games that have a darker theme/contrast.

Great purchase, i just bought the X505-Q896... I dont have it my hands yet though... tell me, how good is the performance? have u tried it with gaming? Does it get too hot??? Are u satisfied so far with it??(I know u only have had it for a little time) I ask u cause i want to know if i purchased the correct one or i should be returning it lol

@sotodark1009 Man this machine is amazing. The Geforce GTX 460M is powerfull. It does not operates in high temp.

The cooling system is very good.
