Its whatever you feel comfortable with. I was messing around with button configurations that i would feel ok with, It ended up just just like the Halo controls. Also check the invert settings in the game menu. :D
I play Goldeneye 007 and Perfect Dark on PJ64 using a Playtation-like controller that I plug into my USB port. It costs $20 at Best Buy. Without using PJ64's built-in gameshark, I completed all Goldeneye levels and got all Goldeneye cheats. I also completed all 30 Combat Simulator Challenges from Perfect Dark. Some of PD's Combat Simulator Challenges I have up on youtube.
erm how do u do that? i plugged my usb xbox controller in the computer, nd the comuter installed it in2 the computer. but i cant controll anything with it, where do i fix that? plz help me. and thanks if u get all this
Go into the settings on the emulator, i use project 64, and configure the buttons the way you want them. You also need to install the drivers to make the controller work, they can be found on sites, try googling it.
Get a normal USB adapter and an xbox controller, cut them both in half, connect the wires, twist or solder...your choice, sellotape the exposing wires, connect it to your pc and download the software to work it, you can use it on any emulator. Genesis,xbox,N64, anything. You can configure the buttons in the menu's of the emulator

Rice's Video Plugin 5.5.1 can enable the sky textures, it isn't perfect though, but the best video plugin for this game I have found.
Using a wired 360 controller on control style 1.2 I was able to set up the controls just like Halo. XD totally worth every dime.

Ah so you noticed the crappy sky texture? When i first seen it, I was like "Was the sky always like that in Goldeneye?" lol
Thanks for the Plugin

I configured goldeneye like an FPS for the xbox, (right trigger to shoot, X to reload, left trigger to aim etc..)
