Okay guys, Ive never actually played Halo Wars but form what ive heard the music is AWESOME, but can someone please explain to me why you can buy covenant units and UNSC units ... are they already teamed up with the elites? or is there some new enemy?

@7526Yellow The game takes place 30 years before Combat Evolved (Halo 1) during the invasion of Harvest. I can't really tell you all that much because of spoilers but you can buy both Covenant and UNSC units in the game's skirmish mode which is basically non-canon. There's no point in the game where you are allied with the Covenant or control a Covenant unit (with one amazing exception)

i have the game but i only played halo wars once and i never touched it again, rts games really arnt good for me on consoles, thats where pc comes in

ya i agree, halo wars should be put on the pc, rts is just not for console systems.

@DASpArTaN actually H:W was pretty much an example of how an RTS could be done well on the Console...albeit a well done one.

I still play it quite often, its just that it lacks the strategic depth of the PC RTSs, especially ones like Supreme Commander [which pwns] or StarCraft [which is the most balanced RTS in existence, but isn't that deep].

@Terran123rd Well, I played a lot of C&C, so when it came to microing the Warthogs to kill of unit producers and units, it wasn't too bad. I also made use of button shortcuts to keep my macro on the high. I always spent what I could, and I stopped the enemy from creating any factories or air pads.

What a kick-ass action song. I'd say that this should be in the main Halo series, but it seems the only one we've got coming is ODST and it doesn't really fit with the urban envrionment...

But still, this is awesome. I always remember it kicking in during the base attack in the first level and when you're attacking the Scarab in the seventh. Made those bits brilliant.
