Es por el flat shift, que corta chispa y por ende deja de funcionar el tacómetro. En la actualidad no hace mas ese salto ya que el tacometro toma señal directamente de la ECU.

Al del video te pasas con ese swift. Aparte en google pones swift turbo y salis seguro, te estuve leyendo un poco y la verdad te felicito. Es muy groso lo que lograstes sobretodo por ser "made in casa".

La verdad que jamas tuve problemas en la tercera, incluso cuando la caja estaba original. Creo que endureciendo las 3 patas de motor, se disminuye mucho ese problema.
Las patas de motor son unas rodajas de goma, que tienen huecos laterales. Se rellenan esos huecos con poliuretano en cartucho, como puede ser el Windoweld de 3M o el Sikaflex 221 de Sika. Se deja curar 72 horas en un lugar humedo como puede ser el baño.
About launch consistency, the so called (Wrongly) "launch-control" in megasquirt is used to build turbopressure. Using it to keep rpm at a certain level just for the laughs is wrong and pointless, because when you release the clutch, you WILL have full power instantly, and that means wheelspin, and we can conclude from that: You dont have any gain of using it without a turbo.
Yes i heard of flat shift, you use it like this to keep your turbo spooled, OR you run your engine without that turbo-designed function, and use it to build inertia with the rising rpm on a NA machine whilst clutched out, which will be used to propel your car forwards when you release the clutch, thus braking the engine to match gearbox speed again.
That type of flatshifting you use is utterly useless.
I dont get the "launch-control" feature on a NA machine, i really dont. Why would you use it?
Launch-control as it is called (Wrongly, should be anti-lag), and flatshift only has a usable purpose on turbocharged vehicles.
The ONLY reason why you are using it is for the sound, nothing else, and to the untrained it might sound cool, but to anybody who knows his way around an engine, this is just horse-arse.

At that time, it was NA, and I guestimate 115 crank HP. Now, it has been turboed and I guestimate twice the NA power. I never dynoed the car. Only Gtech measurements and comparisons.
In this case, it's not used as antilag, but as flat shift instead. You can't see it in this video, but my right foot is always floored, and the clutch switch activates the RPM cut.

En ese momento tenía aproximadamente 120hp. Ahora tiene turbo, 230hp y está en venta por si te interesa.

I have turbo now. However, when it was NA, it did iprove launch consistency... much better than now that I'm turboed.

Thanks. This video was taken before going turbo, just relatively mild NA mods. The flat shift is a megasquirt feature.
