@TRINZINI It's amazing how those videos are ingrained in the minds of the world. It's a shame that that's our Moon Landing, or, more appropriately, JFK's Assassination.
Fabulous work/ breaks through my head/ That psyche rock thing/ like wedding Len Lye with acid trip of Morrison. 50's & 60''s zones, if you know what I mean!
Can I just make one thing clear? Christopher Tyng composed the Futurama theme, not Fatboy Slim. Fatboy Slim remixed this song, but he never made the Futurama theme. Please stop saying that it was done by Slim as it wasn't.
No, it isn't. The Fatboy Slim track sounds nothing like the Futurama theme. Futurama's theme was composed by Christopher Tyng using a similar note structure to that of Psyche Rock. Don't state something as a fact until you know it is a fact.
Um yeah, only Henri and Schaeffer were at it way back in the 1950's. Who do you think the Beatles learned tape-looping from? They (and others like Pink Floyd) deserve full credit for bringing it from 'experimental' to 'mainstream' though.
What do you mean 'not imitated'? It's quite intentionally similar-sounding: they originally wanted to use this song, but for whatever reason didn't get the rights or didn't want to pay for them.
@hotelmario510 actually, I really mean it. Normally little dickheads just throw out "this is a rip off" while it's more like a sample, remix or just based of another song
This technique was originally developed by Norman McLaren from Glasgow way back in the 30's. Pierre Henry's wigged out freaky rock music fits this perfectly. Thanks for uploading! \:0)>

Bref bravo à ton prof de musique mais sinon les gens de ton collège tout le monde s'en fout ici!
Exquisite colors! Nice film. My only pet peeve here is the visual representation of the soundtrack is too litteral. Bells = punched holes, fuzz guitar = black & yellow lines, etc. It would have improved the structure to vary more, take the viewer by surprise. But I still give this 8/10.
In a weird way, the array of yellow vertical lines remind me of close-ups of the Twin Towers on fire on September 11th...

No no, Christopher Tyng sampled from this track to create the Futurama intro. Fatboy Slim's remix has nothing to do with that intro.
