  • In a weird way, the array of yellow vertical lines remind me of close-ups of the Twin Towers on fire on September 11th...

  • @TRINZINI It's amazing how those videos are ingrained in the minds of the world. It's a shame that that's our Moon Landing, or, more appropriately, JFK's Assassination.

  • nirvanaaaaaaa smells like teen spirit

  • futurama at beta version :D

  • That is, the 1969 film "Z" !

  • Peggy Bundy is hot. 2 gs for her two huge breasts!!!!!!

  • A strange amalgam of meaningless tunes... awesome!

  • i am french ... my misic of college it's psyche rock : from 00:19 to 00:42 minutes

  • BLBLBLBLBLBLBLLL!!

  • This psyche ROCKS !!

  • Look at all the colours maan!

  • This is a great video for a great classic 70's tune. Well done!

  • Should re-track the video with the stereo version.

  • dont wach this when you are really high or else you will feel funny

  • @windoes98se This was used in the soundtrack to the Costa-Gavras film, during the scene in the cafe with the pinball machine.

  • Futurama's theme is obviously based on this. so they had a good taste in music, who cares? The Futurama theme is OBVIOUSLY better too =/

  • Why the funkestine thumbs down?

  • Fabulous work/ breaks through my head/ That psyche rock thing/ like wedding Len Lye with acid trip of Morrison. 50's & 60''s zones, if you know what I mean!

  • Awesome video.

I have the LP of Pière Henry and love his music

  • Wow, that chime solo is epic...lol

  • futurama rip off popculture history all the time for their material. why would this be any different?

  • @LogicAlt this is where the idea of the futurama theme came from

  • Can I just make one thing clear? Christopher Tyng composed the Futurama theme, not Fatboy Slim. Fatboy Slim remixed this song, but he never made the Futurama theme. Please stop saying that it was done by Slim as it wasn't.

  • For your Knowing this as been composed by the French Muscians Pierre-Henry and Michel Colombier in 1967...

The other song are cover or adapation..

  • this is from a 1967 album called : messe pour le temp présent... from Pierre Henry.

  • this song is the futurama theme ^^

  • sounds lie the song "wild thing" a bit ,lol

  • yeah Futurama!^^

  • thi sound like futruama

  • Henri and Fat boy slim collaborated on music Futurama is the result.

  • No no, Christopher Tyng sampled from this track to create the Futurama intro. Fatboy Slim's remix has nothing to do with that intro.

  • No, it isn't. The Fatboy Slim track sounds nothing like the Futurama theme. Futurama's theme was composed by Christopher Tyng using a similar note structure to that of Psyche Rock. Don't state something as a fact until you know it is a fact.

  • well, the guitar sound is stolen from wild thing, overall nothing special for 67.

strawberry fields forever and co are muhc more experimental and especially better.

  • well then don't be a bitch about it

  • Dude, don't come on to a video to smear it. Geez.

  • to the idiot who thumbed me down:

you are a fascist who does not believe in free speech. I'd say eff off.

  • Um yeah, only Henri and Schaeffer were at it way back in the 1950's. Who do you think the Beatles learned tape-looping from? They (and others like Pink Floyd) deserve full credit for bringing it from 'experimental' to 'mainstream' though.

  • not Floyd, only the beatles, i mean revolvers tomorrow never knows came out exactly one whole year before folyd had their first album.

    ever heard of Karlheinz Stockhausen?

because that's the man who inspirired Paul to Tapeloop.

  • fuck you hommo

  • turd

  • little bitch i fucked your mother

  • The version used in Futurama is Fatboy Slim's "Malpase" remix.

  • brilliant idea. dude, really thanks for this.

  • crise d'épilepsie assuré avec cette vidéo.

  • Comment removed

  • This also sounds like "wild thing" aside of the futurama theme.

  • this is not "wild thing" on futurama theme. This is this song but remixed.

  • I love this music <3

  • This reminds me of Hollis Frampton.

  • lsd

  • very cool

  • sounds like the intro tune in futurama have imitated some.

  • Yep, chrestian, Wikipedia itself says that the Futurama theme is based on this.

  • the intro tune in futurama is based off of this, not imitated. based off of.

  • What do you mean 'not imitated'? It's quite intentionally similar-sounding: they originally wanted to use this song, but for whatever reason didn't get the rights or didn't want to pay for them.

  • Oh, whatever. I'll just enjoy the music without arguing about it.

  • you suck balls

  • And I'm supposed to take that from someone called 'dumbfuckingthing'? Wow, somebody knows how to live up to a name.

  • I swear, what is it with you people and the thumbdowns? Are you mentally retarded and incapable of handling a mouse properly?

  • @hotelmario510 its almost the same so imitated is a better word than based.

  • @hotelmario510 thank you, someone who has thought

  • @munherpes Whoa, I forgot all about this...

I was a whiny little dickhole two years ago, now, wasn't I?

  • @hotelmario510 actually, I really mean it. Normally little dickheads just throw out "this is a rip off" while it's more like a sample, remix or just based of another song

  • @munherpes Yeah, I guess I was right.

Doesn't justify how big a dick I was about it.

God, I want to punch myself in the face.

  • great job!

  • this song.....kicks ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • This technique was originally developed by Norman McLaren from Glasgow way back in the 30's. Pierre Henry's wigged out freaky rock music fits this perfectly. Thanks for uploading! \:0)>

  • Very psychedelic and groovy...thanks for posting!

  • futurama!!

  • haha, this is my rollin' music

  • We should pay attention, maybe there are hidden messages in those graphics...no i'm joking. It's strange, I want to beat my wife now...:o)

  • lol totally

  • Very good strach film (yeah indeed cementix it's epilectic)!

  • he he

    Futurama song ^^

  • no duh its the futurama song

  • Inspiration for it you mean?

  • Long Life Pierre Henry, the creator of electronic music!

    The French touch!

  • may be the epileptic nightmare,

    4 sure the psychedelic dream!

  • Eu Gosto e adoro! This stuff is great... Originals! ! Som e film melhor!

  • this is like the epileptic's worst nightmare

  • Exquisite colors! Nice film. My only pet peeve here is the visual representation of the soundtrack is too litteral. Bells = punched holes, fuzz guitar = black & yellow lines, etc. It would have improved the structure to vary more, take the viewer by surprise. But I still give this 8/10.

  • don't forget Michel Colombier!

  • Pierre Henry

    Still got the LP

This truly was a groundbreaking sound in '67

  • Very nice. Nice choice of music.

  • I saw Satan at 1:28.

  • Wow. You learn something new everyday...

    erm erry'day?

Still though, wow. Way obscure roots Futurama theme song!

  • Understandable why Futurama has based it`s theme on this. :)

  • in the movie they play the original version

  • Great video! How about doing a "Chico Magnetic Band" song?

  • i really like the start futuristic sound and visual effects, and when the gongs come in fo the first time, it's great! Nice woyk!

  • great colours¡¡
