You have a piece of Abingdon history here! The walking bridge has been gone for a long time, and all of the old wooden bridges have been replaced. It was funny to hear everyone's excitement when you told them a train was coming. When you live here, trains are an everyday occurance and usually one we dread, especially when going to work, but the new overpass on Rt 41 has helped alot. P.S. I use to have a train flattened penny too, but I'm not sure where it's at now. Thanks!

We used to play underneath these old bridges.You don't want to get caught on railroad property anymore,they will arrest you.
