I dunno why but I cud've sworn that they performed this on TV on a mock-up castle battlements???

Actually tommysax70 *I* also remember the mock battlements, and it *was* TOTP not the Saturday Superstore. I have vivid memories of it. I think it was John Peel introducing them... saying something like "and here making their debut performance on Top Of The Pops..." before panning across to the castle set up. Bizarrely, I think I've got ANOTHER version on VHS somewhere, though it might just be the first version here... I just don't remember the "effects". Great to see of course.

It's about a First World War propaganda film, I believe. The 12" version is superb, and worth tracking down if you can. Their only album Naked, as Mellotrongirl noted above, is quite brilliant. Big Man Restless is an incredible song....

I think it was from a snooker commentary. One of the balls was reffered to as 'kissing the pink'.
