Every foreigner on the planet seems to think that 'England' means the same thing as 'Britain'. Your system allows for an elected politician to be the head of state, which by default risks dictatorships. The republican system allowed Hitler to seize power in the 1930s. The Monarch is not a politician and is unbiased, therefore their consent is needed for a dictatorship to be legitimate.
@TheLiberalKnight Britain did have a a democracy which thanks to them gave us the idea to take the next step(a republic instead of a monarchy, now we were not nicer, remember the British were in in some ways was better (freeing slaves for example) nevertheless it was a more advanced government.
