  • Use a HID replacement bulb, instead of H7 or H4 go for H7R or H4R depending on bulb used ,these are anti-glare, these dont illuminate the bottom half/third of the projector 'lense' therefore throwing light towards the roas and not up into oncoming traffic.

  • @ShiroTakahiro

i actually did get a projector housing from Depo..or something...the light melted the housing!! Now im blinding people again.

  • if you dont have the money for a retrofit then why even install HID in the first place. Without an actual HID housing then you are just puting in HID to throw the light everywhere instead of where you need it. Idk what cop would check 4300k for blueness but maybe its just cause they are ebay

  • @paintballgundown8

spray and pray? lol cop on a bad day will check for anything =)

  • Cool video, man.

Suggestion: To reduce glare, look into casper shields. They reduce the glare, creating a more sharper cutoff. They are pretty cheap, too.

I think 4300k is the best to go with. Any higher, and it's just producing more color, but less light output.

    good stuff!

  • To reduce glare use halogen bulbs in halogen projectors.

  • @NeoDeterminist

projector head light is the main concern. halogen bulb tends to have less lumen out put.

  • looks nice and its not even dark im switching to 4300k

  • @8320884

yea the 4300k does not mean it's any less lumen out put comparing to 10000k

  • ahahaha so tru so tru. Actually that kinda happen. One popo stopped me and said he thinks it's too blue. I asked him to measure the blueness using his radar gun. lawl

  • at least its made your old banger stand out a bit....the police will stop you and ask if you are trying to signal to outter space with the glare

    LOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • @makeminealarge1

    lol thanks? I guess ?

  • I never really liked the 6000k's becuase they have a greenish tint to them.

  • really? i would think 6000k would have blue tint..not green. Anyways The 4300K I have had a green/blue tint to it, until i swap my ballast with my friend's now it's almost just like my bro's rx-8's OEM HID.

  • Yeah. I had a 6000K Hanabi kit years ago and hated the color so when I upgraded to a Catz kit, I went down to a 4300K. I'd love to get a 5000k kit but the distibutors I've seen don't make them.

  • Do your reflectors have little caps in them? THat helps to reduce glare a lot.

You could also lower the beam by adjusting.

Anyway, looks nice - 4300 - god choice.

  • thanks, it does have the caps in them, also i adjusted with my friends to ensure im not blinding anyone. XD

  • Did the same on my car , but the inside part of these caps are visible in the reflector and they too are bright as hell. Thought about taking the lights apart and painting the inside of these caps matt black, but if i'm going to do that, I might as well get some hid projectors and retrofit them or get those instant projector kits they're selling all over ebay - the ones that are just a little projector with an angel light that you fit into your stock reflector instead of your stock halogen bulb.

  • & HID's should be used with projector type headlights

    most are reflective

i think those lines are lens flare

  • HID's arent about color, its about visabilty more than anything.

  • haha, well that is a given...human eye adapt to sun lights better ( around 4000 kelvin of heat <- honestly thinks that's some B.S number) soo..the color output = the wavelength and thus affect the visibility. But yea, you're right! Higher lumen (most of the time) means better output of light thus more visibility.

  • I just want to say, glare is bad and my projector is on the way...money is the issue here. If it bothers you that much...please just dont watch the video. Thanks! btw...i check with several of my buddies and i do not blind incoming traffic or vehicle in front of me.
