Are we becoming more and more like the Borg in Star Trek? Are we turning into an idiocracy? Or are we really on our way to Nietzsche's ideal? I encourage everyone to read "Industrial Society and Its Future" and ponder those three options...
very good. the bible says god helps those who help themselves, and this is the best way we can help ourselves. It would give our species a fighting chance against the harness of nature. Think asteroid impact, gamma ray burst, runaway green house effect, global pandemic
We need more positive media on the transhumanism movement. Or as least accurate information, not the conspiracy bullshit I've been seeing lately. This video is a little dated, but informative.
@enciertaoracion umm... ever stop to think that new technologies may help solve the problem of starvation on this planet? with molecular assembly (nanotechnology), scientists will be able to perhaps build food from the molecular level upwards, which would solve hunger problems as we know it. Think of "the replicator" on star trek: the next generation... this idea is becoming more and more the reality even as I type this.

Biased film. It spends most of the time on advertising the trend and no time discussing the risks and potential danger.

This is what nature does : "your here! Now let's see how long you will survive my tests! Muhahahahahaha! Meteorite to the face! "
These tools allow us to survive these challenges that nature throws at us! Example: downloading to another planet...
Nature:" Congratulations! You survived the meteorite! Your reward is : you get to live another day and face another challenge! "
If you don't embrace this then you fail.

Hi, my name is Samuel Butler and I really think this is terrible! We need to have some sort of "Jihad" and we need to rise up against the machines.

seems like technology is becoming more of a problem to humans
darkaznlordx 1 year ago
There is absolutely no virtue in technology as long as there is one human being starving on this planet!
enciertaoracion 2 years ago
@enciertaoracion Perhaps, but the only way to solve the problem without technology is to kill the people who are starving.
Also farming itself can be considered technology.
