People and babies were dying..and the frozen zygotes of rich people were being 'saved'....WTF?!! I'm ashamed at how our country treated the Katrina victims,what a disgrace that was.

There is something to be said about a woman's need to be pregnant, and grow a baby inside of herself. It is not always a pleasant experience, but you get to feel the baby grow and kick, and once the baby is born it bonds to you faster because it heard your voice for 9 months and knows your movements etc. Yes, that is a selfish reason to be pregnant and not adopt, but then you could say everyone who really cared about children would adopt and never have their own.

Which means in 3 days, it will growthly be his 3rd birthday, but in year terms 5. Sci-Fi logic can be confusing sometimes (Cryogenetics first appeared in Sci-Fi stories. I remember the book Dream-Weaver where an aliens says a kid died, but he was cryogenetically frozen.)

I'll tell you why we do it -- because we tried all avenues -- US, foreign, etc., adoption pathways only to be told NO for a variety of reasons like too old (I was 44), already had bio children, already had ANY kids, etc., etc. Only Russian would take those of 35 y/o, and ironically you had to be 35+ y/o to even qualify. Bottom line: unless we wanted a black newborn, we didn't have a choice.
