Also, is black ops a special case for this? Because other PKG file installers don't have all those other files in there. They are just the PKG to install on the HDD to make an icon on the XMB. Basically, it seems the last step in this video can only be done with if provided with all those files you host.

Hey, good work on this video. Some parts were a bit unclear but after watching it a few times I got it.

I see the game list that are back upable but have not had success with it yet. Am I clear in understanding that the PKG file is generally the modified eboot file that allows it to read off of HDD instead of BDVD..? So all one would need to do is DL the PKG file, use FTP and drag all contents from the backed up game in the "game" folder and transfer all BUT the eboot file to folder "gamez"?

Didn't get a solution to it but I think it happened because I didn't exit the game but just turned off the system. I have no controller so I can't see if i'm right.

@KolaKejdi give the folder "BLES-01031" in the "game" folder another name, go back to the ps3 and install the pkg file again and go back to the ftp. Name the renamed folder back to "BLES-01031" and delete the new one. Quit the ftp server and you should now see the Black Ops logo

Do I seriously need to have a random disk in the PS3 drive in order to play backed up games? If so, does anyone know how to get it to work without a disk in there?

I'm making a big deal about this because my blu ray drive is dead. It recognizes the disk (the load symbol pops up) but can't read it. If you do need a disk will it work if my PS3 just recognizes the disk or does it have to be able to read it?

hey guys.. i ripped black ops, didnt have to replace anything and didnt need that long file.

1. have your ps3 jailbroken

2. rip the game with multiman

3. make sure to load the lvl2 patcher when you start your ps3

4. from multiman, pick your game you ripped (and make sure to have any game in ur bd drive)

5. at the pop up click no

6. when at the XMB, go to your disk game icon and it should be loaded with the game you ripped.

7. enjoy

@ndfightingirish77 yea it did.. follow this mans videos and u will be fine!! so when i was jailbraking this is what i did.

1. jailbreak with geohot

2. jailbreak with peek-poke

3. re-jailbreak with geohot

so you have to do that because geohot created his jailbreak specifically to run only homebrew and not to back up games. peek-poke over rides it. and then you re-install geohot cuz his jailbreak lets your run homebrew and thats what multiman is.

@MrRestricted14 lvl2 patcher is a pkg file you have to install.(not multiman - multiman is for ripping the games, lvl2 patcher is just a simple patch [dont know exactly what its for, probably to block the game from asking you to upload, which shouldnt be a problem since 3.55 is the latest fw anyways]) in one of the videos he tells you to run the lvl2 patcher at the start of your ps3. in the description you will find the download link.

3.I have Lvl2 patcher (when i load it does it just go back to the XMB screen)

4.i went to Mutiman again, i pick my game, and i had the Uncharted 2 Disc in my BD drive

5.the pop screen came on i said no

6.It went back to the XMB but no ICON of BLACKSOPS

7. i can't Enjoy :(
