@MrDancing4beauty You can find boxes of those knee high nylons for cheap. They're not really tights, but more like nylons. I got a box of 12 pairs for $5 at Walmart and if you're using them for this, you can cut them in half.

I tried it and my hair was wet, it looked very bad but my hair is very thick so I did it again still wet but without twisting it and it came out lovely, just a little tip for people that have thick hair.
I tried a similar idea from some else's video using small strips of a t-shirt & my hair turned out just like yours. I didn't like it at all. My hair is just too fine & thin for this method. I liked your flat braid though. Thanks for sharing.
