@samuraipiratericard Well you have to remember Adventure probably a whole dedicated crew of experienced animators working in some kind of studio instead of somebody working by themselves at home at his/her computer. There's a difference.

@goldman77700 i understand that and i agree with you animation is a long and tedious proccess and doing it single handed is no easy task but animation is a thing where you gotta work and spend time and pour your heart into to get even decent results , to pull your viewer in adn show them whats up. that said flash is a new school way to do things you got an advantage time wise and deffinatle effort wise . i belive you gotta but that effort wise thing out you gonna ignore that

I wonder why people are shocked about Flash being capable of animating this...it's about the execution, not the application. You can make professional looking stuff when you're not lazy.

Flash's UI is straightforward and easy, however the what's holding it back is the lousy brush tool...It's always an uphill battle to draw the lines that you want with that program, which becomes time consuming.

The ideal app would have Flash's UI, Retas' stroke registration, and ToonBoom's painting functions.

...This has always been possible in Flash...except Flash would probably kill you for animating in this way...i can tell what he made symbols however...typical and it's really quite limited animation, but I have to say this guy has a lot of patience. Flash will burn, crap, crash every minute and inking with the pencil tool that thin will take hours to do well enough...Patience.

Well I suppose if you are a tard and have no clue about flash workflow you would attempt to do it all in flash. Anyone in the industry would use a mixture of flash for animation and illustrator for drawing. Flash is a stable platform and only really crashes when you are attempting to script and you don't know what your doing, or are trying to animate and don't know what you are doing. There are many ways to limit CPU usage. Your entire post is ignorant.

You are beyond foolish. First of all that workflow is based on preference. I use embedded symbols and draw in Flash because I want to. A few teachers do the same. A programmer himself said that FLASH though more predictable than JAVA is very buggy. My friend drew one line..that's it. There was NOTHING in the entire scene and it crashed. Apple has mentioned that if Flash is open their computers are more likely to crash.

It is NOT a stable platform JUST SIMPLE.

@shedano I agree - I loved Flash features but ever since CS4 and up, it became such a bother to do animations, it really slows me down, all what you mentioned and more. I think Adobe needs to revise the IDE as well as the glitches because it cannot be used very profesionally with all its bugs. I've worked well with flash animation so I've stuck with it but most likely going to another animation software again...

Also I get taught at an digital ARTS school for animation (3d, 2d, Flash-yup all three) so I do know Industry standard workflow and there's several WAYS. Hell Industry professions came to Portfolio review two weeks ago. My teachers work in the Industry. The one being a prat here is YOU.

Though I do have an advanced scripting book and took the scripting in Flash class I don't do any scripting because I'm an animator that prefers animation by hand.

@randomtexty I actually find coding less problematic than with the animation - I've coded and worked in Flash for over 10 years in total - its become somewhat clugged, drugged and abused by the constant add-ons Adobe has given it. The SVG has been a strong feature for Flash for under a decade and only recently, has its quality in art, reduced dramatically. Restarting the slow-starting software to see your art appear is terrible and untolerable.
