This is supposed to be the climax of the play and THIS is what they come up with? NO EMOTION AT ALL??? They all act as if this were to happen every day. They are not suprised at all.

It's not that it's bad. It's of its time. If one considers the accepted style of acting in the late 60's and the manner in which Shakespeare was received it's quite fine. Some of the greatest actors of our generation are in this film actually. While the style seems stilted or phony or what have you by today's standards you cannot discount that these actors and their performances are in fact our heritage. We stand on the shoulders of such giants.

You're right! The movie with Helena Bonham Carter, Imogen Stubbs, Toby Stephens... is much more better! This scene is wonderful, moving, in the film.
