@lewigimole - no problem for taller riders. That large (comfortable) saddle works well as you can just wriggle back on it till you are comfortable. Your 7 mile ride will be a breeze (and at 100+mpg) very economical. Bikes are a doddle to service too.

thinking about getting one of these to pass my test on. whats the hp of one of these beasts? I orignally wanted a xt660x but want a bike quite badly :(
@lewigimole - 12hp - these are NOT speed demons - but are super stable confidence inspiring learning machines, as well as very capable off-roaders. Just back to London from a 500 mile ride last weekend to Aberystwyth - plenty of fun on beaches and down rough trails. We even surprised a hardened KTM rider who found eight of us in the middle of nowhere - enjoying our rides!
@nstaib i no that they are not fast, and thanks alot for the quick reply. i just want one for a 7 mile journey to my college over some buisy b roads. they look like good fun. im 6ft 3, would it fit me? or would my knee's be in my ears?
@FTSxMaNiiXx Hey - you'll love it! I just returned from riding around my VanVan around (and over) the Alps - these bikes will run all day (flat out) so YOU will be the limiting factor! The New Forest is a lovely area to ride in as well... Worth checking into the VanVan Forum for maintenance tips and ride-outs. It's free :) Just Google 'Van Van Forum'...
I got one of the Magenta Van Van's a couple of months ago.Excellent bike, and this is my 20th motorcycle.Even at the exhorbitant price in Israel. They prefer kids to do their army service and get injured rather than having fun and a possible "misshap" on a bike here.Hence the high price to discourage.
That sounds like a rotten deal - either getting shot or paying a lot more for a bike... But glad you now got a Magenta VV model - I know you will love it!
New bikes come with 'free' or bundled insurnace - but its the minimum 3rd party insurance. You would pay extra for theft cover or comprehensive.
Quotes depend on where you live (different post codes carry different 'risk'.
Theft insurance can be reduced by use of garage at night or proper chains and padlocks. May be best to get some quotes from an online insurance broker ?
I'm in northern ireland, it couldnt be too much different in the uk but i pay about 25 a month and im 19. In other words its cheap. i dont think they do free insurance for under 21's or somethin like tht
i did my cbt on one, and ridden a mates. very comfy, very stable and good for inspiring confidence. max speed 60 id say, i stayed to round 55, cos im a big bloke ;) ul like it
indeed. a very capable, and confidence inspiring bike. i had great fun on mine, and reccomend it highly. for learners or experienced looking for cheap transport. speed is not important to me, but for a 125, quite good as it is. good for little or big blokes (or women)

Cheers mate - yes, got one and taking it to Paris in a few weeks time! Very capable little bikes and 100+mpg these days is always helpful...
