Just remember that this bike is more than 20 years old and even now it looks pretty modern because of it's timeless design. The VFR750F RC36II was derived from this model.
Think 250mph is a bit dramatic for an early 90's motorbike that only produced 115bhp (at the rear wheel). Top speed was around 257.3km/h. Superbikes magazine - "There are plenty of other motorbikes that will accelerate faster and reach a higher top speed, but the NR750 is one of the best handling bikes on the road, capable of going from 0-60mph in under four seconds and reaching a top speed of 160mph"
honda gains my respect for this bike..although I always ride european bikes...

I remember reading an article when this bike came out that said the test pilot never got it up to top speed due to fear. Supposedly a 250mph bike.
