That's what I love about this game: The fact that the developers were so willing to throw you a curveball by covering any possible weaknesses, no matter how weird it may look to a first-time Stadium player, seeing all these odd lineups the gyms/E4 will throw at you.
In this game, the Gym Leaders and the Elite 4 didn't just run with pokemon that matched the type they were representing. Especially Clair, her pokemon were practically all over the place when it came to their types. That's what makes them harder in this game compared to the GSC versions.
@BlazingSS4Returns Think bout this as well; There isn't a lot of Dragon types at that point so Clair's pokemon made sense to be everywhere Same for Morty, not a lot of Ghost types
Wow... i'm so used to DPP style battling that when i saw Heracross wind up Counter after Hydro Pump i was thinking "WTF? HP IS A WATER MOVE!", then i realized back in this game the wind up/charge up for every move is shown regardless of if it hits or not. Whoops!
there is a game pack for the n64 where you can insert a r/b/y/g/s/c cartridge into the pack and transfer the pokemon from the cartridge inside the pack onto the pokemon stadium games
One word: Lugia. You should've used Lugia from the start but w/e you won anyway. But that's what i'd always do. However, i guess you like to make things a little more challenging for yourself?
Heracross is a great Pokémon, but it has a major downside to it. Since it's a Bug/Fighting type, it's double weak against Flying types. Not to mention that Heracross has weakness to Fire due to it's Bug type and it's weak to Psychic types due to it's Fighting type.
first of all, this game is suppose to be 3 years after the first generation which is sort of leaf green in away cuz its a remake so bruno could have caught it, secound of all this is staduim unlike the real game you don't just get to chose rentals that is strong agaisnt the opponent so i doesn't have it but they have it here to counter types ppl just pick for him
Me too. Bruno probably chose a Heracross because it's Bug/Fighting. I think Heracross is a good Pokemon, but the only thing bad is when your opponent has a Flying type. Heracross is screwed because it's Bug/Fighting, and Bug types and Fighting types are both weak to Flying types. Heracross is also weak to Fire and Psychic types.
if it weren't for Bug PKMN there wouldn't be ANY pkmn at all.
Satoshi Tajiri got inspired by bug catching when he was a kid to create PKMN and that's why there is a Bug type in the game.
There are extraordinary Bug type pkmn like Foretress, Heracross (probably the best), Scizor (even Scyther), Shuckle (greatest Defense stat in the game, a fact), Ninjask and a well-used Yanma/Yanmega.
Don't get fooled by Metapod or poor ol' Venomoth, there ARE good Bug pkmn.
I'm glad to hear such great words. I would love to see some battles from ya, I'm always excited to see other peoples methods and the such, keep me updated. and thanks for watching.
Oh man. Intense battle! (something that announcer shoulda said...xD...wait, did he?...o.o) Takes me back to the good ol' days even more than the past few videos...
Hey, I love a good PokéFight, what can I say? ...Yes, I just made that up. XD Do not question Teacher! I giveth out the Gold Stars, and I damn sure can take them away!
No, I kid. xD Awesome video. I can't wait to finish watching more - I'm on Elite Four Karen. And it reminds me how much I haaaated fighting her Umbreon, back in the day...tankage to the extreme, against my usual lineups...heh.
"Oh it's Lugia!"
Geez, the guy makes it sound like he sees it every day...

KI11ERMUSHROOM 3 years ago
because he is 1/2 bug 1/2 fighting so he could lugia's psychic or exploit the 4x weakness to flying

Beedrill, Butterfree, Pinsir, Masquerain, Shedinja, Armaldo and Vespiquen are pretty decent as well.
Too bad they didn't make any Bug Type move with the base power of 70+ until the 4th generation
