  • 1:29 my fucking alarm ringtone

  • A great guitarist without an ounce of musical talent.

  • @planesx12 you should really check out some of his other mellower, 'non-shredding' work. i.e. colma, electric tears, diamond in the rough. if that's not musical talent, i don't know what is.

  • really enjoyed the trumpet player. later i thought it was a horn but it was BH, doing "high pads" with his volume knob. long live the present king of guitar.hoping he can develop his craft even further , focus and out-do himself . folks complain about things like crap music and its popularity (justin beiber) , this cat has a way of balancing that mess out for me . think about the kid that comes along who started out snackin on buckets style , how good is that guy gonna sound ? thanks bucket !!!

  • weather you dig his style or not , you have to admit he is talented , worked his ass off , did his own thing , has his own sound (which is very versatile compared to past guitar "gods" ) and developed the best yet "legend" . that is one of the things i really respect about this guy , his fake ass backstory has to be the best yet , and will not be out-done for a long , long time .

  • @peteytwofinger I definitely agree he is a very talented guitarist and worked his ass off. Has his own sound which sucks and is no where near anywhere close to being a legend and has a pathetic stage presence with the lamest costume in rock history.

  • Far as I'm concerned, there should be an "out" music channel that broadcasts shows like this 24/7. I could watch a concert like this for five hours straight. So damn cool...

  • @DarkeningSkies1 that's a great idea

  • this most likely looks like Buckethead with Praxis

  • its like the music of the future

  • GOD, I love music :D

  • is that brian aka brain as in the one who drummed for primus??

  • @bigbroc yes

  • This guy could play any style and play with any band. Extremely talented and not afraid to do his own thing and not what the big labels want. He has my respect.

  • wonder why he is wearing a kameez....

  • This man is no Darrell!

  • LOL, those credits were fittingly trippy :)

  • Who was that playing bass?

  • @Skinr54 Bill Laswell, musical guru and frequent Bucket collaborator...punch his name into the search bar and be rewarded with good music

  • @LawyerScumGhost video link not there?

  • @ghostrid3 watch?v=Dat4gxDDzGg, here ya go, enjoy

  • those fans are probly like "what the fuck is this?" hahaha

  • That concert went from amazing to out of this universe when Bootsy showed up. You have my infinite thanks for posting this.

  • The fact that I still struggle to fully wrap my head around the genius that is Buckethead, I will not stop trying. This stuff is just incredible.

  • PBS soundstage and the PBS audience got raped by this performance cause they didn't know what just hit them!

  • If you don't know who they are you should check out Praxxis.

    Great stuff.

Buckethead Brain Bill Lazwell Bootsy Collins

  • I'm tripping out dude...

  • @AnalDan lol

  • 5:22 The audience can't dance, but they do it anyways, because they have no choice.

  • Are you sure that song played first isn't Revenge of the Double Man and not Meta Matic? Just curious. I have 1.5 days of Buckethead, iTunes search pulls nothing up under that name, so I don't want to go through all of 'em. Either way, Buckethead rules.

  • I cant believe buckethead found the chord for the dreaded ALARM CLOCK.

  • Karate kid grandfather on bass?

  • 6:26 DROPPED MY JAW

  • i shat myself..

  • sorta feels like i've just been cleansed of the soul toxic affects of the last 10 - 20 yrs of c-rap-tastic musick

  • This is absolutely unfuckingbelievable, I can't thank you enough for posting it! Did anyone else notice that's Busta' Rhymes in the yellow shirt and blue shorts?

  • That beat is so FUNKY!

  • you keep the funk alive buckethead.

  • murder those hip-hop loser!

  • are you sure meta maniac isn't nu chuka kata

  • @BucketandSlash 2 dif songs.

  • It's not praxis till Bootsy Collins comes!

  • buckethead should be the new member of slipknot

  • @alaanees if that were to happen all of the other members would dissolve out of existence just being near buckethead, im sorry but slipknot does not qualify as music in any way

  • @alaanees hell no

  • @alaanees He would melt their masks off then their face!!!!

  • FUCKING OWNED!!!

  • lol@ bootsy 6:47 to 6:50

  • KEEP... THAT FUNK... ALIVE! :D

  • Buckethead makes even the dumb black dudes in clowns suits look awsome. Viva La Bucket!!

  • Wow, they need to repeat this broadcast and advertise it better! :) Encore PBS!!, Encore!

  • im sorry, what?

  • so kickass

  • holy shit....Brain has a pocket deeper than the Mariana Trench!

  • this is the music of the future.

  • Cool!! How fun is that shit? Thanks for posting it!!

  • mr. hahn??

  • that groove is naughty!

  • Man looks at the start when he plays Meta-Matic. Can you see him turning the volume of the guitar on and off real fast.

  • @ArmadylGold He isn´t moving the volume at all...is changing the pickups

  • @Stratorancios Nope, it's a killswitch buddy. lol thats what the orange arcade button is.

  • i love how buckethead is funking out behind the amps while those funky clowns come onto stage :P

  • his awsumness made d cam blurry

  • F*cking cooooooooooooooolness!

  • Is it me or does Buckethead's guitar strap seem to act like rubber while he's playing? it seems to sretch while he's playing Meta-Matic.

  • @Dlaybassmaster yes, its a NO.1 strech strap.. i got one right here. made in germany :P

  • @Dlaybassmaster its called a No. 1 stretch strap. i use them and can push my guitars as far as my arms will reach.

  • i dont see the hype with buckethead. Just a guy with a mask that freaks me out who can play guitar really fast and precise.

  • BOOTSY COLLINS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Bucket head is so fuckin fast, i bet he gets lost in his own speed picking at times, and saves the song regardless. LONG LIVE BUCKETHEAD!!!

  • if you listen close to the bass around 5:40 it sounds a lot like Shake Hands with Beef by primus.

  • that horn player is totally lip syncing.

  • That was the best. I remember coming home late one night from up north on Sunday and turning on the tv. I didn't have cable or satellite so I had to watch local broadcast and I came across this very scene almost exactly as posted. Man when you get Bootsy and Bucket and that master scratcher going!

  • gotta love bootsy though. it comes together nicely at the end

  • wow this $hit is annoying. i guess when you're a guitar virtuoso you can just d!ck around on stage ;)

  • So...funky...can't...stop...watching

  • Just when I thought I couldnt like Buckethead anymore, he brings out Bootsy Collins. I was speechless! Then a minute or so goes by and out comes Grandmaster DXT (the same guy who did the song "Rock it" with Herbie Hancock). I guess the only thing left to do now is piss myself?

  • the prolonged series of notes he did in the first song reminded me of japanese railway crossing sirens lol

  • Bucket loves Bootsy. haha :) This is so fly. ;) thanks for posting it.

  • 1:09 Amaizing

  • I must say, if some high school kids did that whole randomness for the first half of the video, they'd be ridiculed or made into a joke. Because its buckethead, its genius. Not that he's bad or anything, he's freakin awesome. I just think sometimes people are overcome by the genius of other things people like buckhead have done they ignore the crap.

  • aint no party like a laswell party

  • that clown hangs out in my bedroom, just licking his hand and eating oatmeal

  • what a freak show hahaha just pure awesomeness!!!

  • Hey good job at replaying a few seconds from the last video so I know what's going on.

  • pbs is awsome!

  • From total anarchy to synchronized awesomeness. Absolutely brilliant! @ Meta matic.

  • Rappers look like vagrants.....

  • the dude below me doesn't get it :P

  • lol is it just me or were the credits at the end trippy as hell! lol

  • 1:30-3:07.... that should fucking totally be my morning alarm clock

  • you normally hear this in an underground club not tv

  • lol u know brians smiling behind that mask when bootsey starts singing hahaha

  • Yeah! Just embrace the muse - wherever it takes you.

  • lol thats the sample from nun chuka kata

  • This is Praxis, not just Buckethead. Still excellent!

  • i love the way Brian (the drummer) does his awesome drum "shred" with Bucky in the background

  • Bootsy's in the house!

  • parts of meta matic sound like warcraft

  • somebody knows???

  • trumpet guy is cuong vu??

  • I like the one part where the drummer is having a seizure of some sort and Buckethead is doing that little note. Lol.

  • I remember listening to Buckethead/Praxis before it was cool and anything else Subharmonic (r.i.p.) put out at the time

  • what is the name of the song in the begining?

  • Dreadbet, it's Meta Matic. :)

  • i think his intonation might be slightly out on the high e string =p

  • lmao....this had to be the most surreal PBS concert ever.

  • Way to diss Brain. Brain has done a lot of stuff with Buckethead, and he is a leading drummer.

  • @adstout620

Who the hell are you to judge Brain?

  • who is that trumpet player

  • Toshinori Kondo

  • @emmette1234567890 The trumpet player is Benicio Del Toro lol....

  • The trumpeter kick ass! Metal trumpet for life!!!

  • THE DRUMMER is Brain right?

  • @jwunschie14

yep, and guitarist under the KFC bucket is also Brian

  • Goddamn!!! lol!! 6:38 is that bozo gettin jiggy

  • PRAXIS!

  • awesome fucking show mannnnn.....

  • That is just a fantastic display of musical talent. More Tv shows should be like this. Buckethead is god.

  • i wonder if brain skateboarded at all??since hes got a shortys shirt on

  • he use skateshoes as well, and he have developed his pedal technique with them

  • hahaha thats awsome!i fuckn love to listenwatch brain all the time his videos are soo funny

  • @YetInue

but now, it's some fucked up all stars

    :)

  • brain is amazing "cmon Brain I need a beat !" :D

  • what this song called? the one with the alarm clock riff?

  • meta-mati

by the group Praxis(b laswell on bass, bucket head on the guitar and brain on drums)

from the album Metatron (2006) produced by b. Laswell

  • paul is bucks teacher. thats why buck uses those patterns and riffs. but he is not gilbert. a lot of people think that tho :)

  • Paul Gilbert helped teach Buckethead how to play some riffs.

  • Comment removed

  • 2:00-2:50 is the only time ive ever seen him actually pay attention to what hes doing

  • yeah, most of the time he does insane shreds and sweeps without taking a single look at guitar...

  • That drummer's pretty sick at playing with Bucky

  • He should make an album with les Claypool, and wes Borlin

  • mm

mr buckethead had do a album and songs with les Claypool of Primus.

search a song witch name is "the ballad of Buckethead", when mr Claypool payed the bass

  • cool! thx mate.

  • no dude search c2b3

  • they should've named this "Buckethead's Talent Show"

  • buckethead does that alarm clock sound for over a minute

  • He does and its hilarious

  • ah the name is bootsy baby

  • that was mega...

  • don't forget about DJ Disk in Phonosychograph. Haha, it's Bootsy Collins

  • buckethead, the bass player, and brain are the only real artist.

    the others are so useless...

  • I bet he's sleeping behind the mask. Doing this in his sleep.

  • where did buckethead go?

    and comeback from?

  • he was standing to the right of brain

  • he goes over behind brain

  • was this recently?

  • 2006

  • did anyone else see that awesome stick spin brain does at 4:47

  • this put me in a sick trance

  • well put

  • is that KID MOTHERFUCKING KOALA ON THE TABLE!?!?!?!

  • The DJ is actually DJ Disk (from Invisbl Skratch Piklz/Triple Threat DJs). Kinda looks like Koala, but the cuts don't sound like him. Plus the Skratch Piklz have been on several Praxis releases in the past, so it would make sense. Koala would be an excellent addition to this crew of amazing musicians though for sure. "Ain't no party like a Laswell party, 'cause a Laswell party don't stop!"

  • oo thanks for clearing that up. Yea, Kid Koala is one of my favorite DJs, the guy has a unique sound that i like. Plus hes not afraid to throw Slayer on and scratch up a RATM song

  • THIS IS UNREAL!!!!!

    WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    OMG!!!!

    rap/shred/RNB/METAL/ELECTRO

now THAT'S what i call a prog concert, oh my god if only everything was that physcodelic and proggy :O

  • LOL I NOTICED THAT TOO!

  • wow that guy rally'd the trumpet

  • When did this air?
