This need we have for beauty is driving me insane. Two years ago I weighed ~230lbs, I've taken cardiovascular exercise to the extreme, running 6-10 miles 4-6 times a week. Now I'm at 161. @plasticnitwit if you can prove that it causes you psycological problems, than OHIP (Ontario's Health Plan) will cover cosmetic surgery. It doesn't depend on Canada, its up to each province's health plan.

Yes, they will look sort of like stretch marks after a couple years. They will fade over time to be nearly unnoticeable because he stitched me up very evenly. Thanks for the kind words!

You've been through a lot. It sounds like resting is a good thing for your healing. Is your dr. saying anything about scarring later? Will you be putting anything on your scars to make them less visible? I know our bodies do wonderful things to hide scars on their own.

Thanks so much! My doc sewed me up in such a way that the scarring will look minimal in about 2 years. In the meantime, I will start using creams and stuff in a few months after the incisions heal up. He made the breast incisions under each breast.
