What is the power of words, of language. Does chanting or speaking power words in an old language make a ritual more effective? Or is it in the will working the act?

Or some combination of the above.

I believe that anything that energy has been poured into over a large period of time accumulates power (seems obvious )

but that ultimately a ritual that is made up at the spur of the moment that has real emotion poured in can be more powerful than one from a book done by rote.
