In the area I live in we have similiar enclosures for birds. Usually the birds are only enclosed because they are either ill or hurt and unable to take care of themselves in the wild. So get off the subject of having them in a cage. Would you rather then be free and die because they cannot defend themselves or forage for food??

@jbrande55 this conversation is ludicrous....their is no doubt this isnt about america. this is about compassion and empathy respect and stewardship of creatures that are not below us or above us but with us ....these birds are not owned by us....or humanized in there own habitat. we project our own captor from with in when we shift blame or get racist. we need to set ourselves free and let everything else be around us disrupting nature, having a light foot print....ah hhooo

I hate seeing Bald Eagles locked up in cages like this for people to see, they are ment to be free, they need to live in their own natural habitat... not in a cage where they are to just sit there all day, that's mean!!

@l3utt3rf1y FYI: It is sad & kind of ironic to see the American symbol of freedom locked up in a cage, but it's probably there for more of a reason than just to look at. No body goes out catching Bald Eagles just to put them in a cage so we can look at them. This raptor was probably permanently injured & would surely die if you set it free! THAT would be mean!

@l3utt3rf1y most of the time if u see an eagle in a cage its because it was injured in the wild there not usually there for no reason most of these videos are at rehabilitation centers if they r in the wild injured they probably they would die i agree its depressing to see them this way but u have to keep in mind these people are tryin to care for them
