Thank you sooooooo much for creating this wonderful video. This video took me on a ride down the old sweet memory lanes of my childhood.......In todays social networking language if i say "SUPERLIKEEEEEEEEEE" :)!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.....
Very few people knows the sportsman at 9:28 to 9:33, is the former national badminton champion and international player Prakash Padukon. How strange, like other youngsters of today's, I also get to known about him, just bcoz he is the father of Bollywood actress Deepika Padukon.
Those days I was 6 0r 7 years old when this theme music was telecasted.
Good collection, brings back the old memory. DD has dozen of channels so I request them to air these programs on any of its channels. I'm sure they would get a decent TRP.
yes... we can't forget all those days when we all children go to others place to watch the TV and all the episodes, basically on Sundays, it was only TV-day from morning to night... ! I really miss them.. !
It was really nice to go down memory lane. But lets get real guys. Contrary to what a lot of comments here, I love the programs of today the way I Ioved those in the 80s. Time changed, so did our tastes. What I religiously used to watch as a kid (Humlog, Buniyaad, Nukkad etc.) if asked to watch now, I will shoot myself. They were awesome series then. But those themes and plots are no longer relevent today. So appreciate the past but don't bring them to the present. They don't blend.
@geena112 Its funny, people never fail to draw extremes when arguing. It looks like you replied just for the sake of replying. You never understood what I meant. And between Rakhi Sawant and Saas bahu serials, there is a huge gamut of other programmes. And if there isn't any worth mentioning then I am assuming you don't watch tv at all. And think twice before making a judgement on someone whom you do not know. I do not live in India, so watch neither Rakhi Sawant nor Sansani, whatever that is.
@geena112 Moreover I loved Saas bahu serials when I lived in India. And thats because I grew up in a family like those, which is called a joint family. In todays nuclear families of just Parents and children, it is an alien concept to most. So remember whatever YOU think, may not be right or the universal truth. Further clarification, we might enjoy watching reruns of the older serials, but if new ones come out with that kind of production value, even u won't watch them.
Thanks Dude. I went back in my sweet old days. And Chakdegirl, u r right, our children would not be able to understand our emotions attached to DD and old ads and serials.
Our kids would never understand the essence of doordarshan...and how precious it is to us....we've had the best times of our lives....nwadays its just an explosion of so many channels....
@TheSebulba1978 Well what you think quality is just the betterment of technology not the content. Do you think today's channels are serving better content then DD then you are on wrong side. How can you justify saas bahu operas, Vulgar comedy shows and vulgar reality shows like BiG BOss etc. DD provided content with lasting values. who can forget Buniyad, Hum LOg, Darpan, Katha Sagar, Rajani, Kachchi Dhoop, Mungeri Lal Ke Haseen Sapney, Annar ke dane, Yeh Jo Hai zoindagi.
@anupamdixit : Nice Reply Sir !!!! Today's TV and media is ready to show/do anything for TRP.... shows like roadies, bigboss, splitsvilla sell obscenity and vulgarity. Old DD1 shows had a moral content in them, they showed innocence of people in mungeri lal ke haseen sapne, waagle ki duniya, malgudi days..... Moral values were depicted in raamayan, mahabarath.... Feels sad watching todays TV/media showing all westernised crap and losing out true Indian culture and values.
