  • "New England's weather is a comedy show of atmospheric one-liners"

That line is probably the best one-liner I've heard this trimester, even if I had a subject partially dedicated to one-liners! ~ Marta

  • The best English one-liner, or best in any language? Do other languages even have one-liners? Are Chinese one-liners vertical?

I miss school, so many questions that need answers.

  • Good question! I wouldn't know about Chinese, but Catalan, Spanish German and French definitely do have one-liners, even if they are called differently.

I'd say it would have to be the best in any language, with the sole flaw of being only understandable by the people who could relate to the unexpected New England weather. But despite that, it gets extra bonus points for being so refinedly phrased!

  • Just found this vid--miss the referrals from Hank and John. Not quite into the ning thing yet... Is there a way to alert us when you post new Minutes? Your weather is a lot like Michigan's--I love it! (Lived in So. Cal. for too many years--BOOORRRING!)

  • Boring, but warm boring. Best way to be warned is to subscribe, I think.

  • haha, i know how that feels, cold one day and hot the next....

  • In New England, we can be playing in the snow and sunning on the beach all on one day.

  • 1 minute? Wow that's short.

That was an amazing song Tom, you're a good singer :D I was working on a song for Abby too, but my computer doesn't seem to agree with my camera.

  • It will only seem short if we're having fun, that's the plan most of the time.

  • all vidoes in 2008 only 1 minute? Oh no! Thats so much less namlhots entertainment, information and education.

I pupose you make all 2008 videos 4 minutes.

  • It's just more highly concentrated en-info-ed.

  • Hehe! Awesome!

  • Nice video. I knocked off my old account (techinblack) and I'm just now getting back to all the good ole' youtubers I watched. Woohoo! Keep it up!

  • Thanks Aaron, we good old YouTubers appreciate it.

  • At least North Dakota is consistently inconsistent instead of all this nearly predictable unpredictability here in New England.

    Seriously.

  • You must feel right at home wherever you are.

  • Nice work. Looking forward to more of them. How about 1 minute to explain what makes building "A" your favourite piece of architecture, and what makes building "B" your least favourite. I'd be interested to know. - Stu

  • Great idea Stu, that would take care of at least two episodes.

  • wow sounds like the weather in Kentucky!!

  • Our grass isn't anywhere near as green right now(or does your turn brown too?).

  • Were there thunderstorms in your town today? It made for a gloomy day. I was in school, and we could actually hear the rain even in a room with no windows. The thunder was pretty scary too.

  • The songbirds were movie magic, but we actually did have winter thunderstorms today!

  • Seeing sbtom bundled up--albeit briefly--reminds me of the halcyon days of early 07. Great video, great song, and if they're all a minute, can we have more of them? -John

  • Remember when we could count the number of nerdfighters using only our fingers, toes, and teeth? Suggestions for Just a Minute are always welcome, John.

  • Why do I hear summer song birds in january?

  • Yet another example of movie magic.

  • Awesome - awesome - awesome video response, Tom.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

  • I think this is my firt triple awesome ever, thanks CC12.

  • Kinda makes me feel glad that I live in California . . .

Kinda makes me sad that you have to deal with spotty weather . . .

Oh well all will be back to the way it should be soon! -Mike

  • California is paradise, except for the firestorms and earthquakes. ;)

  • I just finally figured out 'namlhots'! D'oh!

Nice song! That old saying about if you don't like New England weather, wait a minute and it'll change is definitely true.

  • We had a 50o F temperature swing in the last week.

  • I've never really thought about the 'namlhots' but now that you mentioned it, I figured it out too. :)

  • It's easier to spell than my real name.

  • You are entering the challenge a bit late. Best wishes though in the competition. I gave you 5 stars.

  • I should have called it the procrastination song.

  • As a comment to one of your other video posts, for the first year or so of the Martian rovers Spirit and Opportunity, I'd check the downloads almost daily. There was no obvious multicellular fossil life and geology by itself isn't my interest. I have to go look again though. -Greg

  • I still visit the Martian surface about once a month.

  • Just curious, obviously you attended at least one in-house NASA briefing, so are you a geologist or an NASA engineer/scientist?

  • Father of a Caltech aero student.

  • Now I know. Thanks! You must be a proud father!
