Getting rid of Ginn was a horrible decision. Got rid of one of the best pass catchers we've had in a while, one of the fastest players we've had in a while, one of the greatest kick returners we've EVER had. Not only could Ginn catch deep balls on his own (over the heads of three Jets defenders, including Revis, at that), he would've complemented Marshall nicely as well. Defenses could only double cover one, then we could've hit the other with a big gain.
Are you kidding me? Ginn was the worst recevier Miami has had in quite a while. Hell, he was 4th in the leauge in drops last year. What did he do outside of that Jets game returning the ball? Nothing. Getting rid of Wes Welker was one of the stupidest things Miami did. We've been doing pretty well with Marshall as the deep threat actually.
quinn is f'in terrible. we lucked out getting henne instead. and yes, ginn is horrendous. we should've taken dwayne bowe--but these scouts don't know anything--just a guessing game.
When it comes down to it, its a whole team effort that is just stinking up Cleveland. I look for lots of faces to change in the Browns ball club over the next year.
Quinn isn't there problem... It's the coaching staff. Quinn's percentage is 60.8% which is higher then names like Palmer, Rivers, Romo, Collins...
Quinn has been tossed into games then bluntly pulled back out & then Anderson has been sent in to finish the game who is really a bust @ QB just a terrible thrower. It also doesn't help that the defense can't hold the run & make key plays to get the ball back. There defense is last place in the NFL vs the run, near last @ yrds, APG.
Let me say this: as an Indiana University football fan, who had Cam Cameron as a coach for about 5 years (in which his best season he was 5-6), why did the Dolphins give him an NFL job when he never even had a winning season in college?

Not to get involved, but I don't think Brady Quinn is gay, because he spoke out against the gay community. So in my opinion, it's a little ironic to call him gay.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I'm not confusing him with Jeff Garcia. I didn't know he had spoken out, I knew it was alleged but not confirmed. Regardless I see his career being as successful as cam camerons
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
You all are idiots. There is no coach that could have won with that team. Cameron had nothing to work with. Ronnie Brown, their best player, out for the season. They traded Chris Chambers.
Their defense is old and they had a lot of draft busts under the Saban years.
STFU. Until you know something about football, be quiet.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Also, it doesn't matter if this team won one game or 7. Either way you don't make the playoffs. At least the Dolphins are getting a high draft pick.
A team like the Jets last year overachieved and they really could have used a much higher pick in the 2007 draft, but instead they had to trade up to get Revis and struggled this year because they lacked talent.
They had it but they just didnt have the CB's at all for it.Many times they could of won but they never did nothing. All they did was put in a horrible QB like Lemons and Beck. Its true.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
You have to be kidding me.
Joey Porter. Zach Thomas? Holliday? Crowder is good I'll give you him but the DL is awful and can not sustain blocks.
Quentin Moses? This guy was cut by 2 teams before he made your 53 man roster. Give me a break.
If you were expecting Beck to play like a future hall of famer in his rookie season then you simply know nothing about football. He could bust, he could become a good player, time tells all.
With execption to Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams getting hurt, he did every single thing wrong that could have possibly been done. Plus the players didn't seem to much care for him.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Trading Chris Chambers and Wes Welker were both smart moves. Unfair to say he did everything wrong it takes more than one f'n year to develop a draft class. Cameron inherited an extremely bad football team...most of the blame should fall on the shoulders of this front office and the horrible drafts they had in the past.
Oh yea, trading away a very popular and very good receiver for a second day draft pick, and the team's number one receiver, oh yea, that was brilliant. No, it is not unfair, plus Parcells, a guy who knows a thing are two about building a draft class, doesn't seem to share your views about Cam. And he made it worst with asine trades and horrible draft picks, picks that he made. He made some very bad calls through out the season, not once did he try a blast up the middle on one yard and goal.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
lol Parcells is so overrated when it comes to the Draft it is amazing. He passed up on Orlando Pace and Walter Jones in 1997 for JAMES FARRIOR. He only had 3-4 good draft picks in his time in Dallas and that was it. Marcus Spears, Bobby Carpenter, Anthony Fasano, Jacob Rogers, Julius Jones...list goes on and on of really bad draft picks.
Jake Long is going to be the next Tony Mandarich. You don't draft a LT with average atlheticism #1 overall...you just don't.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
By the way, without trading Wes Welker, you don't get Samson Satele, the best young center in the NFL.
Without trading Chris Chambers, you don't get Chad Henne.
Welker and Chambers weren't going to get the Dolphins back to the playoffs in 2007...Cameron made the right move in trading these players to build for the future.
Yea, he was really good last year, missing blocks, getting false starts, botching snaps. I seriously doubt that, seeing as how no other qb was taken until the 94th pick, and every team that was picking after that til our next pick wasn't in the need of a qb. By trading Welker, he created a missing spot we didn't need, and wound up using the 9th pick on Ted Ginn. You don't get better by trading away young, Pro Bowl recievers for draft picks. We wouldn't have sucked so bad either.
Well since the defense isn't going to be able to hold teams to 17 points a game forever, having a little offense besides a one dimesional running game might actually help. And since we no longer have Marty Booker anymore, our starting wr's are going to be Derreck Hagen and Ted Ginn.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
So what is the difference between a 1 win season and a 6 win season? They are both pretty much irrelevant.
Don't worry. You drafted an average athlete #1 overall and a QB in the 2nd round that had an erratic career. Miami is doomed for crappiness with Parcells running the show...yeah I said it. OVERRATED
Pride maybe? Cam Cameron would still have a Head Coaching job. You're a fool to tell the truth. A guy who's won two Superbowls, been to 3, has made it to the playoff's with 4 different teams, and won 5 division titles is over-rated. I'm probably wasting my time with you, goodnight.
He was the guy responsible for getting Lenard Marshall and Carl Banks, but hey, he has one bad pick and he's over-rated. Marcus Spears and Jones aren't all that bad, but what ever. Yea, right.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
hes not gonna get fired unless he doesnt get along with parcells....Parecells got like 1 2 or 3 wins in his first year of coaching and now everone loves him..

He has had 2 Punt Returns that were Touchdowns, however as has been the issue all year there were holding calls that negated those. Ginn is doing all he can to help but 1 man can not carry the load. His players gotta get it together.
Part 3-Players like ronnie brown, jason taylor, zach thomas, ricky williams, will be gone! We cant let him screw us like wanstad did, getting rid of surtain, knight, bowens, ogunleye, etc. We miss the old miami defense! The orange Jerseys, everything! C'mon Fin fans we have to do something.......something.
Part 2-He is turning Miami into a disaster and unless we Dolphin fans do something about it hes gonna screw everyone over. Yes, it will happen, we will lose any great players we have just for crappy 2nd and 3rd round picks.
Part 1-Cam Cameron is a Joke. He passes up Quinn, Promises this unfulfilled promise about Ted Ginn, didn't work on defense, makes HORRIBLE decisions. He places Zach Thomas on IR, TRADES CHAMBERS!, calls horrible timeout decisions, cannot win a game, cant make important-game winning calls (notice all 6 games we lost by 3 points). No coaching ability as a head coach!
If you inculed the playoffs in 1972, then yes, they would be 17-0. However, since all teams still play a 16 game schedle, it would be impossible to go 0-17 in one season.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow

everyone in the NFL is fast in a 10 yard window, GINN use to run against slowpokes in college, most of those guys sell cars by age 25, NFL is all speed alll the time, GINN needs a QB who can hit him in stride, his speed is useless if he has to slow down to catch the ball.

Please Tedd Gin strikes fear in the heart of defenses because he can out run them, outlast them, and if he even gets a smidgen of grass before him it's over he's gone. It was a smart pick.
i keep reading that bla bla Ginn is a good receiver, dont we have Booker and Chambers? how many receivers do you need to become a dam contender? , right now were not even playoff contenders, WE NEED A DAM QB, stop saying that Ginn was a good pick because your kidding urselves , lets just looser every game so we can get the #1 pick in the draft and pick A DAM QB , any ideas out there on who we could pick??
We need that thumb to go THIS direction, hyuk hyuk. What a moron. Clueless Cam is now 0-5 and Ginn has two catches in 5 games and just ended Trent Green's career with his butterfingers act. Possibly the worst Dolphins first round pick yet, and that's saying something!

brady quinn would b a good boyband singer.
oh boy just wait until he starts for the browns in week 4/5 - with this shedule he wishes he had played volleyball
I am a Dolphins fan. But at the same time, I am getting so used to our coaches stabbing us in the back. Dave Wannstedt quits in the middle of the '04 season, Nick Saban does a good Judas impersonation, and now this. Thanks Cam, we knew we could count on you.

all i keep hearing from people on every ted ginn video is hes gonna be a bust and that he went to high for a retrurner but it seems like a lot of u forget hes also a RECIEVER and a damn good one!!!!! hes electric, fast, dynamic, and he makes guys miss hes a threat to any defense and the dolphins (if theyre smart) will utilize him as a reciever and if done right he should have a great career as both a returner AND reciever...
Dolphins did the right thing? I hope so for sake of Teddy and my Brownies. Browns Day 1 draft: Two top ten picks and a corner in the 2nd in that the USC Toejams didn't have the heart to trust? Sounds good to me.
Good luck to Mr. Ginn and he will need it. Cam couldn't hold a job at the football powerhouse...Indiana...LMAO.

BucSappy 4 years ago
True, but Cam's firing is definitely the first step in the right direction for Parcells and the Fins for '08.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Also, it doesn't matter if this team won one game or 7. Either way you don't make the playoffs. At least the Dolphins are getting a high draft pick.
A team like the Jets last year overachieved and they really could have used a much higher pick in the 2007 draft, but instead they had to trade up to get Revis and struggled this year because they lacked talent.
BucSappy 4 years ago
They had alot of talent on that D.
J.Taylor
Porter(injured do)
Thomas(injured also)
Holliday
Quintin Moses
Crowder.
They had it but they just didnt have the CB's at all for it.Many times they could of won but they never did nothing. All they did was put in a horrible QB like Lemons and Beck. Its true.
Naturallylatino 4 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
You have to be kidding me.
BucSappy 4 years ago
With execption to Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams getting hurt, he did every single thing wrong that could have possibly been done. Plus the players didn't seem to much care for him.

BucSappy 3 years ago
Oh yea, trading away a very popular and very good receiver for a second day draft pick, and the team's number one receiver, oh yea, that was brilliant. No, it is not unfair, plus Parcells, a guy who knows a thing are two about building a draft class, doesn't seem to share your views about Cam. And he made it worst with asine trades and horrible draft picks, picks that he made. He made some very bad calls through out the season, not once did he try a blast up the middle on one yard and goal.
bjchit 3 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
lol Parcells is so overrated when it comes to the Draft it is amazing.
BucSappy 3 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
By the way, without trading Wes Welker, you don't get Samson Satele, the best young center in the NFL.
Without trading Chris Chambers, you don't get Chad Henne.
Welker and Chambers weren't going to get the Dolphins back to the playoffs in 2007...Cameron made the right move in trading these players to build for the future.
BucSappy 3 years ago
Yea, he was really good last year, missing blocks, getting false starts, botching snaps. I seriously doubt that, seeing as how no other qb was taken until the 94th pick, and every team that was picking after that til our next pick wasn't in the need of a qb. By trading Welker, he created a missing spot we didn't need, and wound up using the 9th pick on Ted Ginn. You don't get better by trading away young, Pro Bowl recievers for draft picks. We wouldn't have sucked so bad either.
bjchit 3 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
So you think 4 years down the road the team would be better off with Wes Welker and Chris Chambers?
BucSappy 3 years ago
Well since the defense isn't going to be able to hold teams to 17 points a game forever, having a little offense besides a one dimesional running game might actually help. And since we no longer have Marty Booker anymore, our starting wr's are going to be Derreck Hagen and Ted Ginn.
bjchit 3 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
So what is the difference between a 1 win season and a 6 win season? They are both pretty much irrelevant.
Don't worry. You drafted an average athlete #1 overall and a QB in the 2nd round that had an erratic career. Miami is doomed for crappiness with Parcells running the show...yeah I said it. OVERRATED
BucSappy 3 years ago
Pride maybe? Cam Cameron would still have a Head Coaching job. You're a fool to tell the truth. A guy who's won two Superbowls, been to 3, has made it to the playoff's with 4 different teams, and won 5 division titles is over-rated. I'm probably wasting my time with you, goodnight.
bjchit 3 years ago
Man, I wonder if you were being serious and are just a moron, or if you were trolling, and are a moron.

C'mon Fin fans we have to do something.......something.
thespecter2 4 years ago
That was Saben who got rid of Surtain and Knight. And Bowens just retired.

Part 2-He is turning Miami into a disaster and unless we Dolphin fans do something about it hes gonna screw everyone over. Yes, it will happen, we will lose any great players we have just for crappy 2nd and 3rd round picks.
thespecter2 4 years ago
Part 1-Cam Cameron is a Joke. He passes up Quinn, Promises this unfulfilled promise about Ted Ginn, didn't work on defense, makes HORRIBLE decisions. He places Zach Thomas on IR, TRADES CHAMBERS!, calls horrible timeout decisions, cannot win a game, cant make important-game winning calls (notice all 6 games we lost by 3 points). No coaching ability as a head coach!

everyone in the NFL is fast in a 10 yard window, GINN use to run against slowpokes in college, most of those guys sell cars by age 25, NFL is all speed alll the time, GINN needs a QB who can hit him in stride, his speed is useless if he has to slow down to catch the ball.

i keep reading that bla bla Ginn is a good receiver, dont we have Booker and Chambers? how many receivers do you need to become a dam contender? , right now were not even playoff contenders, WE NEED A DAM QB, stop saying that Ginn was a good pick because your kidding urselves , lets just looser every game so we can get the #1 pick in the draft and pick A DAM QB , any ideas out there on who we could pick??
