WHAT THE HECK! it says blender has recieved an error every time i click on user preferences

hello, ira! you are a great teacher - i looked out your tutorials - very clear and understanding... i was wondering : can you help me to do a toggle between faces?/vertices/edges in 2.5? because my english is not perfect and when it comes to scripting i just cant handle it! i know that it is very easy, but just cant do it myself, so,i will appreciate your help! thanks very much!

Is it possible for you to do your tutorials on 2.5 from now on? I understand if it's not. It's more of a suggestion, so that the tutorials will be useful even after around July 2010 when Blender 2.5 comes out!

I've been going back and forth between 2.49 and 2.5. One problem about 2.5 is that not all of the Blender 2.4x features have been implemented yet. Another is that 2.5 is alpha software, which means the user interface can change. A third problem is most people are still on 2.4x. I will, however, do as many 2.5 videos as I can based on whether that part of 2.5 is stable. I will eventually redo all 2.49 videos to 2.5 as soon as 2.5 works for those.

Actually, there is no sound because I did this just as a video tour. The idea is to look at the messages. I'll be doing many more detailed 2.5 tutorials, including reworking the user preferences. This one was just a quick idea I had.

Do you have to compile 2.5 yourself or is there somewhere the program can be downloaded for windows?

Get it at Graphicall, like the video tells you with that obnoxious white banner. Remember, it's a test build, so there are inherent bugs.
