@MrStickman1997 Good, it's very good to hear that they are taking steps to make it as good as it used to be. Unfortunatly I don't think that it is possible to make it that good unless they removed the laser guns, which, in my opinion, ruin the ride.

@coolcabbage43 i went to alton towers on october the 19th 2011, and to find that the jat in the hand was put pack, so was the anarchists book,the wierd antler thing above the wardrobe, and i just wanted to say that i was very interested on the slide that you did on the black hole, and alton towers has been great everytime i have been

Some of the features from the Haunted House in there are still in the ride Duel, and still operate ^^

Why did they have to ruin what was one of Europes most intense and scariest Haunted Houses with Duel, a crappy revamp with crappy zombies and crappy lazer guns. The Haunted house was a truly terrifying experience, now it sucks. They needs to get rid of Duel, have another revamp and bring back The Haunted House with more scary elements.

@Gettinbuzz In Alton Towers Scarefest they switch the guns and lasers off so people enjoy the experience. Personally i think keep Duel but put most of the Old Features back in to make it SUPER SCARY AND INTENSE!!!

tbh they kept most of the animatronics n props n stuff ;D the ride was only re-vamped not actually closed down

I think the lazer game is a good idea, but, all of the shit-scary things were removed... for some strange reason...

Oh well, if you want it to be simlar to the haunted house again, put your gun down, and just pretend its not there.

The ride didn't actually 'close' it was retrofited with the laser element to ensure that it remained re-rideable over and over. However, the best effects of the pretty-frightening original ride were lost completely .
