As a Brit, Obama is the first US President I've ever respected, and the only person who has ever made me consider becoming an American citizen. Why is that? I can't put it into words that could do the man justice. He may make mistakes, we all do. But he's clearly a competent person and a person with integrity.

@blindraise actually your stats on the video views don't mean anything. I'm very much against Obama myself but it's a very strange phenomenon that anyone on youtube can attest to. If you upload a complete video onto youtube you will notice that the first and last parts of the movie will receive a significantly larger number of views than the parts in the middle. The same applies to a 2 part video. Part 1 always receives more views. I doubt it reflects Obama that much.

He is only eloquent, has a sense of humor, brought us out of potential depression, regained our stature among allies around the globe, managed wars of not of his own choosing, did his best to talk to his enemies and detractors, accomplished the healthcare bill opposed by so many, attempted to contain the cost of the healthcare, let both Democrats and Republicans serve in his cabinet, gave hope to a vast number of citizens who thought they are not even counted... I didn't vote for Obama. Nor McCain. I voted for 3rd party as a protest. I thought Obama should have more experience before.  But he has a lot of class and is doing the best with what he was given. I WILL be voting for him in 2012.

I think you will make a good decision on your vote for 2012. People judge him too much but they have yet to find anyone else who can lead as Obama has done. And as you said, he is doing the best he can for what he has been given. Only time and history will tell how much good he brought to this country.

@luvstrixie I wish more ppl saw the current situation as clearly as you do. The man was handed a country on a depressing down swing, bad economy, terrible war, and poor government leadership. Things in that state don't magically get fixed overnight, but it's amazing how even though he didn't have the most experience at the time, he was still able to step up to the plate and do the most he could with what he had.
