i prefer to roast a hole chicken, use the breast meat for my pot pie, and use the legs for anouther recipe, the stock that comes off a hole chicken is a richer tasting stock than what you would get by just boieling a hole chicken, i also use celery, carrots onion, and always some green peas just like my grandma did
