1)Halliburton has lost a fortune on the Iraq war due to a government contract handed to them 10 years before the war ever started which had a fixed (and very small) profit margin attached to all expenditures.
2) George Soros just bought 2 million shares of Halliburton stock in the 4th quarter of 2006. That can only mean that a) it was a good buy and b) he expects it to go up after the surge. George Soros believes in the surge and believes we will be winning this war very soon.
Please note that if you do not believe things are getting much better it does not mean you want them to get worse for some political reason. It simply means you believe we ought not be involved in a civil war between fighting sects of Islam. Life is not always either/or. Wne things were not geting better in Viet nam the American people called for a halt to the fighting. And now? we trade with that country and go there as tourists etc...see the difference?
Ignoramus, the war in Vietnam was not militarily winnable by the Vietcong; they were losing. When the US pulled out millions died. So if we pull out of Iraq immediately we'll ensure trade and travel with them in thirty years. There will be a bloodbath in Iraq if we leave just as there was in Vietnam and the blame for it lies on the heads of the left in America and the same will be true if it happens in Iraq. But it seems the majority of Democrats are ok with that as long as it tarnishes Bush.
Back in July the NY Times was reporting over 100 civilian casualties a day in Baghdad. That was every day for a month. And if you believe the 650,000 casualties in four years in the Lancet number when it came out that would be at least 500 a day in Iraq at the time. So someone killing 90 once or twice a week just makes the case that the carnage is coming under control.
Finally, a logical, rational brian emerges. Too bad we are the minority these days. America's full of birdbrains who don't know when they're being held up and someone's goin' through their pockets.
Things were getting better and we all certainly hope they continue to. Don't you? Or would you that things keep getting worse so your political position is proven right? Who are YOU favorable to??
American government is just theater for the masses, and the masses are asses.

I surely hope u r a minority!!
first of all, the 90 once or twice a week is just what you hear about in ur "fair" and "balanced" news channels.
secondly, one killed in a war bases on lies (regardless of which side) is one too many.
thirdly, insults does not change what is happening in reality. wake up .

Bush supporters still haven't answered the most basic questions about this war, four years in.
What are we doing? Why are we there? How will we know when we are done?

"What are we doing?" Just killing innocent Iraqis and stealing their oil, birdbrain.
"Why are we there?" - see previous sentence, butthead.
"How will we know we are done?" - When all Iraqis are dead and Bush/Cheney/Haliburton have all the oil.
Are you TRYING to sound stupid or are you legitimately so?
