@lust4lyfe101 Still, being with Laura makes Steve happy (for some weird reason), and if Myra can't accept that and let Steve go so he can be happy, then she doesn't truly love him. After all, Steve was willing to let Laura go so she could be happy with Stefan (even though you could argue Steve/Stefan are one and the same, and therefore, the only person Steve would let Laura be happy with besides himself is himself!).
@tecnokid What's even harder to understand is how one of those good looking girls is extremely crazy for him to the point of stalking him!? I can understand that some women are into people like Steve for what's on the inside (after all, even Laura, who once swore she'd never ever fall in love with him, eventually ate those words), but to the point of STALKING!? Yeah, right, that would never happen in real life.
Man Myra may be an obsessive stalker but I'd still go with her over Laura. I would just convince her to tone down the stalking. I'd rather take a hot stalker over a pretty girl who turns me down a lot then suddenly falls in love with me.
The show wasn't sticking to the Winslows as much and it was focusing too on Steve Urkel. Granted he did save the show from being cancelled in Season 1, but in the later seasons (excluding seasons 2-6) the show became more of the Urkel Show. If that was the case, Steve should've gotten his own spin-off show.
I agree that Laura was hella mean i didn't like her character at all. but i don't think Myra looks better than Laura but i know most guys love lighter complected women even if they aren't so attractive they find it easier to find beauty in them rather than brown and darker women. i think they were equally beautiful but they both had issues.
@amazinglyamazinggirl Laura actually grew out of her shallowness though, while Myra never seemed to grow out of her possessive nature. Like in chess, the winner was the one who made the next to last mistake.
Myra was pretty i also hate how they made maxine character seem like she couldnt get a decent bf as well like she was ugly..... Waldo were they serious when they wrote that in the script i mean really smh
@Bubbs08 I guess putting Waldo with Maxine fit the theme of the less desirable man getting the girl, just like with Steve getting Laura (and Myra, who proved to be too good for him).
I thought it was a big mistake in having Waldo and Maxine break up. He was good to her, unlike those other guys she would later date. I wished they kept Waldo and Maxine together.
If Steve said that to Myra in Season 4, it could've changed the storyline in Family Matters. She would've remained the sweet, intelligent girl that he liked and was never jealous of anyone in her life. Stefan wouldn't exist and Steve would've been closer to his parents thanks to Myra. Laura would've been the jealous stalker, trying to win his love. Myrtle matures and is friends with Eddie and Greta. Rather than have one family, it focuses on both The Urkels and the Winslows.
@ladyfire44 If that had happened, Steve and Myra would be millionaire inventors by now (on their way to being billionaires), and Laura would eventually ironically end up marrying one of Myra's cousins, whose name also happens to be Steve.
And Judy would be dating OGD after his stay in Chicago. He would be a counselor to at-risk teens at a local counseling center. We got to stay true to the Urkel-Winslow dating relationship.
It so sad and the fact is one she died 2 months after my birthday and 2 I would hate to have to be her sis when she died because I would die. I love you And I hope your family is strong and I no you made through the pearly golden gates. To all u people who hate or dislike her then u missin out
I never thought laura was "pretty" i loved myra tho she was so short and stocky lol she was very pretty :) she always reminded me of aaliyah though...
@cbaldwinjr Yeah, even though Myra was loopy, if she could love Steve despite his annoying habits, why couldn't he love Myra the same despite HER annoying habits? Sure, he really loooooooved Laura, but he shouldv'e just given up on her already.
@jennyflannel you know this was her last episode. She would die months after making this. She was getting skinny to. cancer made her that small. You didn't look like her normal self in this episode.
naw jaystar Laura is where is its at she got the full package myra cute and busty. remember the episode when laura had on that gold dress and went to the club
@Loveboylove1989 And Laura only wanted Steve after he stopped obsessing over her so much. He finally got the message and moved on and that actually bothered her. lol.
@bboyStuntZ Yeah, Laura did show her jealousy twice in the early seasons - first in season 2's "Dedicated to the One I Love," when she tried to push Steve onto nerdy girl Suzie, and for two weeks, Steve was devoted to Suzie, but it ended up being only a ruse to blossom her up and give her away to the high school chess club captain. Nevertheless, it made Laura jealous for a second that Steve was paying attention to Suzie and not her.
@bboyStuntZ The second time was, of course, in season 4's "Buds 'N Buns," when Laura nearly succeeded in getting Steve off her back for good by urging him to emotionally commit himself to Myra. For two weeks, Steve did not bother the Winslows and was having too much fun with Myra, and again, Laura really missed him!
@s80722 Intra Abdominal Desmoplastic a rare form of stomach cancer. Found in younger boys. It kill you within months. If you don't find it early. Sadly to say before the young and the restless, she had a lemon size tumor removed, but another one grew, then she eventually died Dec 22,1998.
@rpmangin Steve's less frequent visits at the Winslows in this alternate FM as a result of Nicole coming earlier could be explained as Steve "improving" himself (with the help of Nicole), his parents, seeing how much he's improved himself apologizes for their cold treatment of their son and takes him in. "O.G.D" will show up at the Urkel's front door, he and Steve will argue at first, but the Urkels will eventually accept him/in, keeping the "family" show focus on 2 families, Winslows & Urkels.
@ar63 Yeah, I always imagined it would be that way if, instead of continuing to drool over Laura, Steve told Myra, "Screw Laura, I want you," right away in her first appearance. Then, Myra would have stayed the sweet and intelligent girl Steve was attracted to and would never be jealous of anyone in her life, Stefan would not exist, and it would be Laura who becomes psychotic, obsessive, and jealous.
@rpmangin cont on, if Nicole was introduced in S4 (instead of Myra) I can see her getting Steve off Laura for a while, but Steve's less frequent appearances at the Winslows, with the exception of hanging with Eddie and Waldo from time to time would be notable by most family members. With Laura' shallow attitude at the time, I can see a bit of jealousy coming out of it (as shown with Penny in S2 and Myra in S4). The question is how Steve would react in this alternate world case (with Nicole).
@ar63 I think if Myra were never in the picture, maybe Steve may have moved on from Laura with Nicole, seeing as they would have both went the "were friends for a while but then realized they loved each other" route, unlike Myra, who would not settle for just being friends with Steve. Myra did kind of screw herself by making demands on Steve, who was conflicted.
@rpmangin continuing on still, Steve's flirtation with Allison was a direct result of the infamous "BBQ grill/marrying" incident. If I were Laura, I would've strongly suggested to Steve to move on from Myra straight there instead of taking Myra back (Myra was begging him to take her back during the end credits of ROTN).
@ar63 Yeah, but at the time, Laura was still afraid Steve would go back to obsessing over her and she couldn't have that now that Steve was living with her family, so in a way, she was using Myra to keep Steve from pestering her to go out with him, until she actually wanted to go out with him.
@rpmangin If Laura's that worried that Steve may go back to 'obsessing' on her, Laura could've easily set up Steve on a long distance relationship with Nicole from Paris Vacation by encouraging him to call her (or set up a blind date like Myra). After all, Steve did help Laura on her long distance relationship with Stefan so that time would be great for Laura to pay Steve back the favor, even if Steve may be reluctant at first (doubt it, Steve was oggling over Nicole during the Paris episodes).
@ar63 I don't think Steve would have regressed to his earlier season behavior toward Laura though, because he wouldn't feel right trying to take Laura from his own clone/brother, Stefan.
@ar63 No, Nicole may not have worked out for Steve, because if Myra ever found out, she'd just chase Nicole away by stalking her and Steve just like she did Laura and Steve here, and since Nicole barely knew Steve, she'd just give up on him and let Myra have him.
@rpmangin Nicole did know Steve well before the Paris meeting. Steve and Nicole were penpals for years , not to mention they did meet each other in Anchorage years earlier at a science convention.
Which makes me wonder, what if Nicole met Steve (instead of Myra) in the earlier seasons whilst Steve was at his worst (stalking Ted and Laura). Could she be able to do the job Myra had failed to do? Unlike Myra, Nicole is someone Steve knew prior, and seeing how Steve drooled over her in Paris.
@rpmangin Continuing on, Steve did have attractions to 3 other women (none of them was Laura) during Season 6-8. Agnes (S7) ,Nicole (French girl from S8 opener) and Allison (ROTN). Ironically enough it was Laura pulled Steve up on his crush with Agnes and told him to be honest with Myra if it bothers him that much. In the ROTN episode, Laura paid Steve a favor (after all those years) by chasing Allison off Steve after finding out she's really only causing more trouble than she's worth.
@rpmangin The Myra character was well behaved between Season 6 and the end of Season 8 with the exception of the Marrying/BBQ grill incident.
Season 9 had the actress scale back on her role (and eventually resign from the sitcom to join a (less intensive) role on a soap opera) due to her illness at the time. Either way, the writers had to quickly find a way to write her off the show after her departure (and eventual real life death)
@rpmangin Seeing the actress did quit midway through S9 (with a guest appearance in the finale), if she was fortunate enough to survive her battle her cancer and FM did have a 10th season, she would've only had time to make a few special guest appearances anyway (at the wedding most likely), as she most been too busy with her soap opera commitments.
As for getting another actress, I think the producers would've learned by now from the unpopular Harriette recast.
@ar63 I would've also liked to see Myra try to date Stefan, but it would end quickly when Stefan finds out she's trying to change him back into the Steve clone and he would have Myra committed. After that, Stefan would move back to Paris and marry Nicole from the Paris Vacation episodes. Stefan would more than likely accept that Laura and Steve love each other and leave them alone, because he wouldn't want to hurt Laura or his own creator/brother.
Continuing on, Myra may have "allegedly" done it again in the Season 9 Christmas Ep. I've read one fanfic that links those 2 episodes together with Steve/Laura's wedding night in that fanfic. Not to mention, though Steve/Myra may have had some good times together, that episode where they were both doing something serious together for a change gave out a strong hint she would have not made a good "wife" for anybody, let alone Steve.
@ar63 Still, I think they only had those moments where Myra's bitchiness came out just so viewers would understand why Steve HAD to choose Laura over her. The writers were just so stupid that they wouldn't let Steve move on from Laura.
Reading over the older comments, I'm surprised no-one brought up the Season 5 episode "Like a Virgin", the episode where Myra 'allegedly' rapes Steve in his own locker during the end credits of that episode. It's something that Steve will not forget, regardless if it happened or not. It's something that Steve should have reported to the authorities, but knowing his reputation/personality at the time, no one would've believed him.
@ar63 If it were really that bad though, then why didn't Steve move to Russia with his parents just to get the @#$# away from Myra? Then again, knowing Myra, she would have just followed Steve to Russia somehow anyway.
@2199 It ended with Steve going into space and nearly losing his life after pulling a satellite that got lodged into the rocket. However, he returned to Chicago a national hero and was finally truly accepted into the Winslow family, when Carl called him "son." He and Laura then shared a passionate kiss, as they were officially engaged. In fact, they were planning their wedding before Steve got called to go into space to test one of his inventions.
@rpmangin Now if you only watched step by step and told what happened Lamberts and fosserts, that would be real cool. Never sen this episode. Thnx dude.
I had a huge crush on Myra when I was younger. I remember how frustrated I was with Steve. I kept thinking he was such an idiot for resisting Myra. She would do anything!
@Eternalsummersong Yeah, like Steve didn't once have pictures of Laura all over his locker, on a window shade, on a beach towel, on a lunch placemat, and he also used her measurements as his locker combination. Again, they only made Myra super obsessed so fans would forget that Steve was stalker material.
@rpmangin: Hun. You can not win a person through lies and Deceit. Myra went FAR beyond a stalker. As for Eddie he learnt his lesson by doing those things to Steve he always got into trouble. Steve wasn't selfish he is selfless. Here is the proof that Steve loved her far more than ANY of her boyfriends that she had. He was willing to give her up so she would have a better life with Stefan. Myra could NEVER do that. Myra took far past stalking.Cont...
@Eternalsummersong Steve had his moments where he was selfish. For instance, in the season 4 opener, Carl rightfully banned Steve from visiting after he caused Carl and Eddie to fall off the roof of their house by once again showing up uninvited, but then Steve firmly told Carl, "No. I love this woman (Laura), and I can come over here anytime I want, and YOU CAN'T STOP ME." Also, he too chased most of the guys Laura wanted to date out of her life, just like Myra tried to chase Laura away.
Steve did outgrow being selfish when he was in Carl's shoes as Stefan in To Be Or Not To Be. He may have chased away most of the guys that Laura like, but it was only because they saw her as nothing more than a piece of ass. Truth be told, Steve only like being around the Winslows so much because they were the family he wished he had. His parents were like Maxine's, they didn't care about them.
@rpmangin: She ran away to become a nun (lie) she put cameras on Steves glasses (disturbing) and she dressed up as Laura on Steves and Lauras date (again very disturbing thing to do but funny) and she gave Laura her watch then went out and got a cop to arrest her for stealing it (against the law and very pathetic and deceitful thing to do) If stefan had married Laura Steve would move to the moon to get away from Myra. The girl should be in the nut ward.
@Eternalsummersong If Stefan had married Laura, and Steve moved to Russia, Myra and Laura would have been at each other's throats the rest of their lives, because Myra would never forgive Laura for causing Steve to move far away from her and would blame Laura for stealing Steve away from her only to break his heart, and as for Steve, he'd probably grow old alone because he'd still be obsessed with Laura.
@rpmangin: Myra would kill Laura and stafan and their kids. Steve was going to leave anyway so she would be happier with Stefan. That was HIS Decision not Laura's. Myra was in jail by the way. She was probably sent to a Psychiatric hospital seeing she was a sick Lunatic. Steve also had a Restraining Order against her.
@rpmangin: If you let someone go that is not obsessed. He WASN'T obsessed with Laura he was when he was younger BUT he truly loved her and wanted what was best for HER. True love IS an Obsession. But an Obsession that has limitations. You said Laura wanted to date out her life that is not true after all she thought she was in love with Stefan and did not date anyone because she thought he was the one but in the end married Steve who was far from perfect. Stefan was TOO perfect.
@Eternalsummersong Yes, not to mention, Stefan had an ego. Even though Steve improved the formula, Stefan still showed his ego at times, so there's always that chance Stefan could revert to his old shallow and self-centered self who would leave Laura in a heartbeat.
@rpmangin: And he still love his polka music. Even when he got with Laura. And she didn't mind it as I stated she did fill in for Myra and danced with Steve and had a good time. Some of the things you say are right but some are wrong. Laura is human so is her family no character in that show was perfect they all had good Qualities and bad Qualities. You take the good with the bad. Myra's "love" became sick and her bad Qualities out Weighted the good ones.
@rpmangin: Well of course he didn't annoy them he was living in their house! Lol! Then again remember those loud slippers he wore at night? Lol! Those things where loud and annoying.
@rpmangin; Lol! No I think they died. Lol! I know Carl hated those things. As for Steve he went through this weird finding himself faze. Where he kept popping up with the strangest outfits.....he was trying to find himself. So he kept giving himself strange makeovers that had nothing to do with Laura. It was his idea to do it and nobody forced him to do it.
@Eternalsummersong Still, Laura shouldn't have dated Steve and Stefan AT THE SAME TIME!! That wasn't fair to either Steve or Stefan's feelings. If I were Steve or Stefan, I'd demand she only date me or she'll never see me around her again.
@rpmangin: It's called a LOVE TRIANGLE. And Steve was doing it too so he isn't innocent either. Again If you make demands on someone who is confused and having trouble picking between two people which happens in real life (it happened to me so I understand what Laura went though) You would lose her. It would be different IF she was sleeping with both of them. Again Steve would never force her to be with him (I'm talking about when they were OLDER by the way) It would be selfish of him. cont..
@Eternalsummersong Aaargh. That's what I've told you before. In addition, Steve ALWAYS knew he'd choose Laura over Myra, but he strung Myra along anyway, ever since "Paradise Bluff," when he told her he could spend his whole life chasing a dream or he could let a dream catch him. Again, that should have been the last episode where he even considered Laura. It's just that the writers were so dumb, that they wouldn't let Steve move on with Myra.
@Eternalsummersong Yes, Judy disappearing with no explanation was just as unrealistic as Steve's undying love for Laura. Compared to those two events, Steve's time machine, cloning device, transformation chamber, and teleporter were mundane everyday occurrences.
@rpmangin: Lol! I believe Steve undying love was rather realistic. Lol! Considering the guy I got with was very much in love with me for far longer then Steve. Undying love is not unrealistic. You forgot the super termites. Lol! The episode where Eddies apartment was destroyed....actually the whole apartment building.
@Eternalsummersong You can't help who you fall in love with, but when someone rejects you, you have to take "no" for an answer and move on, especially after Steve was turned down by Laura for the 1000th time! LOL Any normal person would give up before the 100th, no matter HOW much he or she loves someone at first.
@rpmangin: And like I have stated why would Steve be a stalker if he was willing to let Laura go if it meant she would be happier with Stefan? That is not a trait of a stalker at all. He did what Myra couldn't. That is how selfless he became. He loved her so much he was willing to let her go to make her happy. He grew into a good man. And Laura grew into a good woman. Myra grew into a sick person.
poor thing ... she was so frail here...but still GORGEOUS! rest in peace beautiful lady!

"O.G.D" will show up at the Urkel's front door, he and Steve will argue at first, but the Urkels will eventually accept him/in, keeping the "family" show focus on 2 families, Winslows & Urkels.
ar63 1 year ago
@ar63 Yeah, I always imagined it would be that way if, instead of continuing to drool over Laura, Steve told Myra, "Screw Laura, I want you," right away in her first appearance. Then, Myra would have stayed the sweet and intelligent girl Steve was attracted to and would never be jealous of anyone in her life, Stefan would not exist, and it would be Laura who becomes psychotic, obsessive, and jealous.

@ar63: Now I actually liked Nicole. Steve and Nicole would have made a nice couple.
Eternalsummersong 1 year ago 3
@rpmangin cont on, if Nicole was introduced in S4 (instead of Myra) I can see her getting Steve off Laura for a while, but Steve's less frequent appearances at the Winslows, with the exception of hanging with Eddie and Waldo from time to time would be notable by most family members. With Laura' shallow attitude at the time, I can see a bit of jealousy coming out of it (as shown with Penny in S2 and Myra in S4). The question is how Steve would react in this alternate world case (with Nicole).
ar63 1 year ago
@ar63 I think if Myra were never in the picture, maybe Steve may have moved on from Laura with Nicole, seeing as they would have both went the "were friends for a while but then realized they loved each other" route, unlike Myra, who would not settle for just being friends with Steve. Myra did kind of screw herself by making demands on Steve, who was conflicted.

@rpmangin continuing on still, Steve's flirtation with Allison was a direct result of the infamous "BBQ grill/marrying" incident. If I were Laura, I would've strongly suggested to Steve to move on from Myra straight there instead of taking Myra back (Myra was begging him to take her back during the end credits of ROTN).
ar63 1 year ago
@ar63 Yeah, but at the time, Laura was still afraid Steve would go back to obsessing over her and she couldn't have that now that Steve was living with her family, so in a way, she was using Myra to keep Steve from pestering her to go out with him, until she actually wanted to go out with him.
rpmangin 1 year ago

@ar63 No, Nicole may not have worked out for Steve, because if Myra ever found out, she'd just chase Nicole away by stalking her and Steve just like she did Laura and Steve here, and since Nicole barely knew Steve, she'd just give up on him and let Myra have him.
rpmangin 1 year ago
@rpmangin Nicole did know Steve well before the Paris meeting. Steve and Nicole were penpals for years , not to mention they did meet each other in Anchorage years earlier at a science convention.
Which makes me wonder, what if Nicole met Steve (instead of Myra) in the earlier seasons whilst Steve was at his worst (stalking Ted and Laura). Could she be able to do the job Myra had failed to do? Unlike Myra, Nicole is someone Steve knew prior, and seeing how Steve drooled over her in Paris.
ar63 1 year ago
@rpmangin Continuing on, Steve did have attractions to 3 other women (none of them was Laura) during Season 6-8. Agnes (S7) ,Nicole (French girl from S8 opener) and Allison (ROTN). Ironically enough it was Laura pulled Steve up on his crush with Agnes and told him to be honest with Myra if it bothers him that much. In the ROTN episode, Laura paid Steve a favor (after all those years) by chasing Allison off Steve after finding out she's really only causing more trouble than she's worth.
ar63 1 year ago
@rpmangin The Myra character was well behaved between Season 6 and the end of Season 8 with the exception of the Marrying/BBQ grill incident.
Season 9 had the actress scale back on her role (and eventually resign from the sitcom to join a (less intensive) role on a soap opera) due to her illness at the time. Either way, the writers had to quickly find a way to write her off the show after her departure (and eventual real life death)
ar63 1 year ago
@ar63 Still, if the writers wanted Myra to get Steve, they could have just had another actress play Myra, just like they did Harriet.
rpmangin 1 year ago
@rpmangin Seeing the actress did quit midway through S9 (with a guest appearance in the finale), if she was fortunate enough to survive her battle her cancer and FM did have a 10th season, she would've only had time to make a few special guest appearances anyway (at the wedding most likely), as she most been too busy with her soap opera commitments.
As for getting another actress, I think the producers would've learned by now from the unpopular Harriette recast.
ar63 1 year ago
@ar63 I would've also liked to see Myra try to date Stefan, but it would end quickly when Stefan finds out she's trying to change him back into the Steve clone and he would have Myra committed. After that, Stefan would move back to Paris and marry Nicole from the Paris Vacation episodes. Stefan would more than likely accept that Laura and Steve love each other and leave them alone, because he wouldn't want to hurt Laura or his own creator/brother.
rpmangin 1 year ago
Continuing on, Myra may have "allegedly" done it again in the Season 9 Christmas Ep. I've read one fanfic that links those 2 episodes together with Steve/Laura's wedding night in that fanfic. Not to mention, though Steve/Myra may have had some good times together, that episode where they were both doing something serious together for a change gave out a strong hint she would have not made a good "wife" for anybody, let alone Steve.

@ar63 Still, I think they only had those moments where Myra's bitchiness came out just so viewers would understand why Steve HAD to choose Laura over her. The writers were just so stupid that they wouldn't let Steve move on from Laura.
rpmangin 1 year ago
Reading over the older comments, I'm surprised no-one brought up the Season 5 episode "Like a Virgin", the episode where Myra 'allegedly' rapes Steve in his own locker during the end credits of that episode. It's something that Steve will not forget, regardless if it happened or not. It's something that Steve should have reported to the authorities, but knowing his reputation/personality at the time, no one would've believed him.
ar63 1 year ago
@ar63 If it were really that bad though, then why didn't Steve move to Russia with his parents just to get the @#$# away from Myra? Then again, knowing Myra, she would have just followed Steve to Russia somehow anyway.

how did family matters end?
2199 1 year ago
@2199 It ended with Steve going into space and nearly losing his life after pulling a satellite that got lodged into the rocket. However, he returned to Chicago a national hero and was finally truly accepted into the Winslow family, when Carl called him "son." He and Laura then shared a passionate kiss, as they were officially engaged. In fact, they were planning their wedding before Steve got called to go into space to test one of his inventions.

Eternalsummersong 1 year ago
@Eternalsummersong Yeah, like Steve didn't once have pictures of Laura all over his locker, on a window shade, on a beach towel, on a lunch placemat, and he also used her measurements as his locker combination. Again, they only made Myra super obsessed so fans would forget that Steve was stalker material.
rpmangin 1 year ago
@rpmangin: Hun. You can not win a person through lies and Deceit. Myra went FAR beyond a stalker. As for Eddie he learnt his lesson by doing those things to Steve he always got into trouble. Steve wasn't selfish he is selfless. Here is the proof that Steve loved her far more than ANY of her boyfriends that she had. He was willing to give her up so she would have a better life with Stefan. Myra could NEVER do that. Myra took far past stalking.Cont...
Eternalsummersong 1 year ago
@Eternalsummersong Steve had his moments where he was selfish. For instance, in the season 4 opener, Carl rightfully banned Steve from visiting after he caused Carl and Eddie to fall off the roof of their house by once again showing up uninvited, but then Steve firmly told Carl, "No. I love this woman (Laura), and I can come over here anytime I want, and YOU CAN'T STOP ME." Also, he too chased most of the guys Laura wanted to date out of her life, just like Myra tried to chase Laura away.
rpmangin 1 year ago
@rpmangin: Again you are talking about when they were kids.
Eternalsummersong 1 year ago
Steve did outgrow being selfish when he was in Carl's shoes as Stefan in To Be Or Not To Be. He may have chased away most of the guys that Laura like, but it was only because they saw her as nothing more than a piece of ass. Truth be told, Steve only like being around the Winslows so much because they were the family he wished he had. His parents were like Maxine's, they didn't care about them.
ladyfire44 1 month ago
@rpmangin: She ran away to become a nun (lie) she put cameras on Steves glasses (disturbing) and she dressed up as Laura on Steves and Lauras date (again very disturbing thing to do but funny) and she gave Laura her watch then went out and got a cop to arrest her for stealing it (against the law and very pathetic and deceitful thing to do) If stefan had married Laura Steve would move to the moon to get away from Myra. The girl should be in the nut ward.
Eternalsummersong 1 year ago
@Eternalsummersong If Stefan had married Laura, and Steve moved to Russia, Myra and Laura would have been at each other's throats the rest of their lives, because Myra would never forgive Laura for causing Steve to move far away from her and would blame Laura for stealing Steve away from her only to break his heart, and as for Steve, he'd probably grow old alone because he'd still be obsessed with Laura.
rpmangin 1 year ago
@rpmangin: Myra would kill Laura and stafan and their kids. Steve was going to leave anyway so she would be happier with Stefan. That was HIS Decision not Laura's. Myra was in jail by the way. She was probably sent to a Psychiatric hospital seeing she was a sick Lunatic. Steve also had a Restraining Order against her.
Eternalsummersong 1 year ago
@rpmangin: If you let someone go that is not obsessed. He WASN'T obsessed with Laura he was when he was younger BUT he truly loved her and wanted what was best for HER. True love IS an Obsession. But an Obsession that has limitations. You said Laura wanted to date out her life that is not true after all she thought she was in love with Stefan and did not date anyone because she thought he was the one but in the end married Steve who was far from perfect. Stefan was TOO perfect.
Eternalsummersong 1 year ago
@Eternalsummersong Yes, not to mention, Stefan had an ego. Even though Steve improved the formula, Stefan still showed his ego at times, so there's always that chance Stefan could revert to his old shallow and self-centered self who would leave Laura in a heartbeat.
rpmangin 1 year ago
@rpmangin: And he still love his polka music. Even when he got with Laura. And she didn't mind it as I stated she did fill in for Myra and danced with Steve and had a good time. Some of the things you say are right but some are wrong. Laura is human so is her family no character in that show was perfect they all had good Qualities and bad Qualities. You take the good with the bad. Myra's "love" became sick and her bad Qualities out Weighted the good ones.
Eternalsummersong 1 year ago
@Eternalsummersong Yes, Steve still loved his polka music. I was only saying he didn't annoy the @#$# out of everyone with it like he used to.
rpmangin 1 year ago
@rpmangin: Well of course he didn't annoy them he was living in their house! Lol! Then again remember those loud slippers he wore at night? Lol! Those things where loud and annoying.
Eternalsummersong 1 year ago
@Eternalsummersong Steve probably got rid of those dinosaur slippers when he got his makeover though! LOL
rpmangin 1 year ago
@rpmangin; Lol! No I think they died. Lol! I know Carl hated those things. As for Steve he went through this weird finding himself faze. Where he kept popping up with the strangest outfits.....he was trying to find himself. So he kept giving himself strange makeovers that had nothing to do with Laura. It was his idea to do it and nobody forced him to do it.
Eternalsummersong 1 year ago
@Eternalsummersong Still, Laura shouldn't have dated Steve and Stefan AT THE SAME TIME!! That wasn't fair to either Steve or Stefan's feelings. If I were Steve or Stefan, I'd demand she only date me or she'll never see me around her again.
rpmangin 1 year ago
@rpmangin: It's called a LOVE TRIANGLE. And Steve was doing it too so he isn't innocent either. Again If you make demands on someone who is confused and having trouble picking between two people which happens in real life (it happened to me so I understand what Laura went though) You would lose her. It would be different IF she was sleeping with both of them. Again Steve would never force her to be with him (I'm talking about when they were OLDER by the way) It would be selfish of him. cont..
Eternalsummersong 1 year ago
@Eternalsummersong Aaargh. That's what I've told you before. In addition, Steve ALWAYS knew he'd choose Laura over Myra, but he strung Myra along anyway, ever since "Paradise Bluff," when he told her he could spend his whole life chasing a dream or he could let a dream catch him. Again, that should have been the last episode where he even considered Laura. It's just that the writers were so dumb, that they wouldn't let Steve move on with Myra.
rpmangin 1 year ago
@rpmangin: And I am so sorry if I came off as rude. I have a really bad habit of speaking my mind. I really don't mean to be rude.
Eternalsummersong 1 year ago
@rpmangin: And do you know what on earth happened to Eddie and Laura's sister? She just went POOF!!
Eternalsummersong 1 year ago
@Eternalsummersong Yes, Judy disappearing with no explanation was just as unrealistic as Steve's undying love for Laura. Compared to those two events, Steve's time machine, cloning device, transformation chamber, and teleporter were mundane everyday occurrences.
rpmangin 1 year ago
@rpmangin: Lol! I believe Steve undying love was rather realistic. Lol! Considering the guy I got with was very much in love with me for far longer then Steve. Undying love is not unrealistic. You forgot the super termites. Lol! The episode where Eddies apartment was destroyed....actually the whole apartment building.
Eternalsummersong 1 year ago
@Eternalsummersong You can't help who you fall in love with, but when someone rejects you, you have to take "no" for an answer and move on, especially after Steve was turned down by Laura for the 1000th time! LOL Any normal person would give up before the 100th, no matter HOW much he or she loves someone at first.
rpmangin 1 year ago
@rpmangin: LOL! MY HUSBAND ISN'T NORMAL!!! He hit the 100th mark when I was 16!! He has Steve beat!! Now I have something to pick on him about!! ^_^
Eternalsummersong 1 year ago
@Eternalsummersong Um, actually Steve hit the 1000th mark at 16.
rpmangin 1 year ago
@rpmangin: Lol! Okay he beat my man! Awwww....and I wanted to pick on him too!
Eternalsummersong 1 year ago
@rpmangin: And like I have stated why would Steve be a stalker if he was willing to let Laura go if it meant she would be happier with Stefan? That is not a trait of a stalker at all. He did what Myra couldn't. That is how selfless he became. He loved her so much he was willing to let her go to make her happy. He grew into a good man. And Laura grew into a good woman. Myra grew into a sick person.
