Slash was playing music for more than 8 hours A DAY for about 6 years when he first played the basic riffs for Axl.

So yeah, if you're human, that song is no easy business... Especially the solo (even if there's even worse from Slash...)

ok, you either dont know about guitar players that exist, or your willing ignorant of the more complex music out there.For one thing all guns and roses songs are insanely easy, and take basic skill to learn. There are plenty of guitar players like paul gilbert,yngwie malmsteen,jason becker, or bands like symphony x, liquid tension experiment,to name a few, that would chew slash up and spit him out including me. If it took that long, then he must either learn really slow or must not be that good

Not to be disrespectful, but if you read my other comment (or better, Slash's biography), you'll find that there is much more to him than playing guitar. Going through the hardships he has gone through and still surviving, still going onstage makes him more valuable, more alive than pretty much any other guitar player I know.

He's a person that not only plays well with his band. He plays well with life. His guitar style is the (almost supernatural) reflection of his life and acts.

and im not taking credit away from what he wrote or did, its just that when it comes down to guitar skills, there are just to many HUMANS that set the standard for actual good playing to say that guns and roses music/solos, are anything to boast about. Im sure that hes good but not beyond human good, i dont even think hes beyond "basic" good for todays standard of guitar playing.

Let me highly doubt this, as I'm not giving credit to how easily I could play the song, but I give credit to Slash himself for his being able to play and improve over the years and through dope, blow, alcohol, some more dope, rehab, and all those things that make him an extraordinary human being.

Because being a successful guitar player doesn't only involve skill.He's a man that took himself to the edges of life his way, got clean his way, and most of all created his own guitar style. His way.
